Just checking in again to revise my "I've listened to this at work at least 10 times" statement.. WAYYYY more then ten times!!!!! Since I have found this, this is my go to live music vid that I am always in the mood for. Simon has become my favorite feel drummer.
I live 45 miles or so from Asheville, and had no idea they were coming so close. I can only hope that they return soon. That drummer is off the charts good, and as an organ player myself, I really appreciate this guy's chops. Great band!⚡🎹🎹⚡

Best live band I've seen. Including the JB's. I love these guys. Have been lucky enough to see them many times over the years in the UK. In a small venue they're something else. Great musicians, great music. What a groove. Impossible to sit still to. Eddie is my favourite guitar player. Alive that is! He's something else. Just unfortunate that their real market is in the US. Don't get to see them so much these days. They're missed!

Phish 2022 brought me here, and I'm soooo happy. I love these jams! The drummer is so groovin'! Bass is smooth punching in the pocket. Keys as full as the mountains. Highway-drive-in-a-sports-car guitar. I think this is my best find so far this year. This and that the 1976 Yes show at Roosevelt Stadium is downloadable in MP3 and FLAC at archive.org.
Cigar Time is a personal favourite,great to hear the band get off on it so much as well...Absolutely awesome video..Loved these fellas for years but never seen em' live..I need to put that right soon.

THIS is how a gig video should be done, fab sound, great camera positioning, focus, exposure, editing and every member of this band is TIEEEEEEET ! Out of curiosity how are you doing the sound, is it desk sound mostly, surely this quality isn't just from the LSD2 etc? Is that just used for inbetween atmosphere / audience noise etc. Thankyou
+Will Datsun Thanks Will!!! I Appreciate that! Its not an exact science... I just have developed what works for me. The Zoom H6 is at the heart of the audio. The rest is using my ears and mic placement. Yes, like at this venue if I can get a sound board feed the audio turns out like this. But understand what you hear is not all sound board. SB feeds usually are not great on there own. Good, but not great... With a SB feed you are at the mercy of the sound guy. Sometimes the feed is in mono and sometimes they are tweaked for the PA system in the room. In my setup I always use the Zoom h6 x/y and LSD2 mics on stage, and a bit of the mic on my camera regardless if I have a SB feed or not. I usually can capture audio really good this way without it. I mix this with the SB feed with a bit of eq'n, resonance, compression, time alignment and filtering in post production accompanied by hrs of listening to tweak to my ears liking... Again its not an exact science. It doesn't sound this good right off the SD card by any means. This Setup just captures well and gives me something to work with in post production. Just an example when the sound guy doesn't want to cooperate and give me a SB feed. I used my normal set up as described above with my mics on stage with no SB feed in the mix of the set in the link...

Imagine .. Going to a concert and paying anywhere from $200 to $1400 per ticket where the closest seats are still around 50 yards away from the stage and the band only plays 10, maybe 12 tunes .. and compare that to going to see these guys perform. The sound is perfect, they're right there in front of you, 'Jammin'' for 2.5 hours and playing twice as many songs, for what, maybe a $25 to $50 admission fee ??? - This group really gives you a whole lotta' "Bang for your Buck" !! I think it's a shame that artists allow Big-Biz to dictate the ridiculously high prices of concert tickets these days. Many artists have tried to 'go against the system' but that never seems to last very long. There's a lot of politics and greed involved here but the bottom line is you can't really 'Buck the System' .. at least not for very long. The venues set the prices, the artist's managers work the deal, and everyone gets paid what they think they deserve to get paid .. and it's ALL passed down to us ... the average Joe who remembers the day when you could see your favorite big-time bands for $12.50, $15.00, or maybe $25.00 for 'Orchestra Seats'. It's a 'Capitalistic Society' we live in and it's really hard to 'Buck' it so I say 'Fuck It' .. I'll wait till' it comes to You Tube.

This is what happens when you are a great musician and join other great musicians.
So far I think I've listened to this performance while I work maybe 10 times. So great. As a bassist, this is a dream gig.
I heard one song accidentally😊 and have been listening ever since.
Seeing them in Portland, OR with my love on Thursday. Could not be more excited
