      @Connor I don't understand "being greedy" when we haven't been able to publish our music due to copyright restrictions on certain samples. No money has been, or being made. So how do you come to me being greedy ?

      @@BukesWorld Understood, I see that even Stretch and Bobbito had some stuff removed off TH-cam. Would you ever consider private sale of the full broadcast? As far as I know besides Stretch and Bob (RIP 50 Grand and Big) you are the only confirmed person to have this tape.

    Who was the Bronx Zu? Why didn't u guys get signed/put anything out independently at the time? Ever considered going to one of those small labels that release older era material like Dopefolks or Chopped Herring?

    • @BukesWorld
      @BukesWorld  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Let me answer each question individually.
      The Bronx Zu was/is a core group 5 guys and an array of independent artist that were all under one umbrella... Similar to the Wu-Tang set up.
      Getting signed back then was truly a "who you know" business. We came to know a lot of people in our travels and performed on many venues including a slew of iconic legends of today.
      We were young and to tell the truth, Broke ! LoL. Of course that answers the question of not putting stuff out independently. We were spending every dollar on studio time and trying to get into every venue we could. Not putting out music independently might have been a blessing because we might have been getting sued to death right now. We were creating music before the sample clearance era started. So getting them cleared wasn't an issue then, but it is now.
      I never considered the small labels that release older music because I had now knowledge of them. Thank you for introducing it to me. I will do some researching now.

      @@BukesWorld Thank you for taking the time to reply, its nice to get some background on you guys as info is scarce to non existent.
      You should definitely make contact with Dopefolks, as I suggested you to them after watching the Stretch and Bob doc, and they said that they were interested with working with BZ but could not get a reach on anyone.
      Like all of the other commentators look forward to hearing what you guy's have buried in the stash!

      The battle was Bobito & Stretch Armstrongs Demo of the Week. This was a was a demo contest, no album released track. At the time, the great B.I.G. had just signed to Bad Boy Records and had not released an album yet.
