Your demo covered most performance questions I had regarding this unit. I bought this cam today and although night vision would'a been a great feature to have, the trade off for overall performance and footage quality at the cam's price was a big winner... I can appreciate your control touch up close without a tripod. Thanks, really good upload.
Hi, i found your link for this at the avs forum. amazing detail at 1080p! Ive been thinking about getting the M31. Question?? can you plug a mic into it? I want to be able to use XLR mic for recording via adapter if needed. Thanks.
@kruff10 Since software manufacturers are always updating their software, your best bet would be to download a trial version and see if it recognizes the files that you work with.
@aequitas18 Since video quality in iMovie is high, then your original footage must be ok. For Premiere Pro CS5, there is an option to lower the preview of a video to lower quality for the sake of being able to edit them quicker. Have you checked this setting? Otherwise, if you export an HD video in CS5, is the final video high quality?
i just got me the latest mac desktop. im using imovies to convert my videos though. The videos on imovies comes out clear and beautiful, but when I go to premiere cs5, the picture quality turns really grainy and pexilated. Do you think you can advice me on how to set my settings on Premiere cs5? The settings that im using on the camera to record the videos are on: Recording mode: MXP (24 mbps) Rec program: P-mode frame rate: PF30 tv type: Normal do you think you advice me on this please...
I am a new Macbook user and just bought this camcorder. Yesterday I tried to use this camera to feed iMovie, with no luck. Do you use Apple? If so, can you help me in gettin gmy macbook to recognize the camcorder?

@blastingsound No, this camera does not have night vision but it can record night scenes when used correctly.
@tas9195 The jittering is from TH-cam's re-encoding. Original and even the exported file (after post processing) was silky smooth.
@wwit63 Yes, the HFM31 has a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack microphone terminal.
@MrPoopSkater Normally, you just choose the right format based on your original format during the export process. Double check your options.
@ToasterStrudelCC No, some footages were shot handheld and some on a tripod.
@KC2TPY It's TH-cam. Original footage is not choppy at all.
@TheBoredVlogs Premiere Pro CS5 was the editing software.
I just purchased this camera it seems great so far!
@videogamegenius If memory serves, I obtained this piece of music directly from the original composer.

Great video one question. What music was used for this, thank you.

@affiliateian which composer?
I kind of figured. I just wanted to check with you on it. Since YT has that reputation
@SarahBMakeupArtist The stabilization is pretty good overall. But you need to test it for yourself to see if this meets your own needs.
some footage seems jittery when zooming and panning, is that a flaw or is that from posting on the internet.
@Atheist630 Not sure I have an answer for you. Have you figured out if it's yoru camcorder or a software issue?
How did you make it fullscreen? Everytime I finish creating a video, it comes out in widescreen and very small.
