So true. I know it looks like we drink alot but we don't drink as much as we used to. John has cut down alot. We just tend to film in pubs ❤️

It is expensive wine 🍷 in pubs but what my mrs does is has a couple at home from asda nice u get 4 glasses out of bottle so it could save u in long run you both are brilliant love ur channel been a fan 2yrs congratulations 🎊 👏 xx

You may have already covered this in a vlog, but I may have missed it. What did both of you do as a career in the past before your new adventures living in a MH?
I only ask, because there are plenty of volunteering jobs in the UK and abroad whereby you can get free camping in return for a few hours work [gardening/farming/DIY jobs etc], some offer pocket money/expenses and meals provided.

With the problems with parking. It's mainly the local governments and politicians that are not wanting to get their cut from motorhomers. The more popular and more people come out and live in motorhomes. The less council tax and that they're not going to be making.

I agree government don't like vanlifers especially ones that live in their vans as don't pay household bills ❤️
@@BertieBus It's the government's own doing. The cost of living is making people rethink this. It is just a shame that some just leave a real mess. Hate to think how their houses are.
We're still looking around for our motorhome. Then can't wait to get out and enjoy life more

We went to Alpamere last weekend people with BBQ out full camp set up, some with full dog cage set ups, so no shock if it closed, its not a camp site so look after it. Such a shame. Sad thing is in the winter the pub will lose money. Also Ringo parking app now says you can only stay max 7 days. But the sad thing is the council have not said to compensate we have opened 3 airs. So all one way.
People really do abuse it such a shame ❤️
I’m upgrading my van with 2 lithium batteries so I can go away longer and further away from these fools. Every morning I was out with security and the volunteer litter pickers clearing all the crap up. Someone even put a hot BBQ by the bin and set fire to the grass. I wild camp 4 or 5 months a year and often end up cleaning other people’s crap. It’s not just van owners it’s the day trippers who are often far worse

From what I have read, it will be an all year ban. We went to Alpamare at the weekend, and some had full set ups, with dog pens, and chairs set out, this will be the next area they stop overnight parking. Which will be a shame as it is a favourite of ours.
It's one of our favourites too.will be gutted if they shut that down ❤️

The local traders of Scarborough are begging the council not to ban motorhomes All they have to do is stop vans taking up three spaces and if they do buy three tickets Simples
NYC will ban overnighting But the local pubs with car parks will do well it’s already happening here

Hi thankyou for your concern. John used to drink quite alot but he has cut down so much recently. Think we need to stop filming in pubs less. I can see yes it probably looks bad but most nights john only drinks coffee ☕️ 👍❤️
Well as many people are being made homeless as they are unable to rent on low wages, doesn't it make sense to make provision for people to live in their vans caravans. How do the Traveller community do it.

Good morning, interesting video - shame about more parking restrictions - I can understand why, some people in their vans are just so thoughtless and selfish as viv-I-vangoesforth says in the comment. Just disgusting behaviour 😖. Glad you found out about the pop up sites, as you said, it’s a no-brainer saving fuel costs too. And speaking of costs, Zoe is worth every penny that a glass (or bottle) of wine costs ❤️❤️ (as I know you will admit John). The Craster pub looks really interesting - did you find the tower? Stay safe and well my friends ❤️🐾❤️🐾

its bad we loose our good parking spots but it is the people who abused them that have lost them for us. I witnessed lage camper vans parked over four spaces- and there were dozens doing this. That is selfish and inconsiderate . Nt only that but we had other motor homes removng rocks and parking on the grass behind with their awnings out, chairs out and firepits and staying there literally for weeks. THAT is clearly taking the **** out of the area.If you want to do that, go book a bloody campsite!. In some cases these vans left their rubbish beind them. Its a pretty bad show and everyone jumps on the bandwagon blaming local authorities. Scarbrough has allowed camper parking for years, and for years we saw vans there-one of them being my small camper van-viv-i-van. We came, we stayed a couple of nights and when we left there was no sign we had ever been there because we RESPECTED the area. Sad to say there has been a huge increase in people buying large motorhomes who feel because they paid 70K for it, entitles them to run roughshod over everyhere they park. As a van owner I see it every day. In Wales I stopped overnight before I went to my campsite the next day. The following morning, a large motorhome pulled in behind me and the chap got out, removed his toilet cassette and empted it into the grass by the side of the tarmac. When I pulled him up about it, he told me to get back in my van or he would give me a good kicking. He basically thought he was entitled to do what he wants without exception. THIS is why we are loosing out parking and why local authorities are clamping down. Its not just 70K motorhomes. Its small campers too and its why the NC500 will one day be a memory. There are two sayings we should remember as vanners "If you abuse it, you loose it" and "When you leave, take your *** with you and leave no trace" Much respect🙏- Kenny
