This may seem lame but i was really happy to see Charles Robinson as a character. Its refreshing to have an actual WWE referee in the game instead of the generic ref's we've always had. I'm also happy to see each brand having their own ring announcer, and yes because it means we get Samantha Irving lol. What can i say, she is 🔥
The referees count is so realistic now. I love after a one or two count, they hold it up to show the crowd. Everything about this game looks great so far!
I give 2k A TON OF flack every single year for not paying attention to the little details with models, entrances, movesets, etc.. but it looks like they really nailed this special referee thing. Might be the best special guest referee ever.
Still very sad that we are not able to do special OMG in parking lot brawl (like car finishers) (or Powerbomb and ddt on the desk in GM room) I think it was very cool to have this kind of things.
Details like doing maneuvers/irish whips without tieing up before hand? Details like chain wrestling and rest holds? Details like how the superstars stand in that weird fighting stance the whole time lol.

Knowing 2K, I thought they were going to remove features that the original special guest referee had, and it wouldn’t have the same feel that the old version did, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Same here, they’ve been always bringing back modes from older games and butchering them making them less fun then the original but I’m surprised what they have done here! the step in the right direction imo.

If the AI can recognize a stable mate in the match I'm hoping they implement this into the Royal Rumble next year. That way stable mates can work together in the Rumble.
I hope we could go all out on custom referee shirts from torn sleeve versions and also when it comes to jeans and shorts and so on because if I’m going to play as a referee, it would be with Stone Cold Steve Austin. I hope we get full on custom referee attire 🤞🏻 Let’s see if 2K games would update the game when it comes to putting in guest referees for tag team matches, ladder matches and others instead of 1vs1 for a future update
It's funny that the special referees having proper ref attire is being made as such a big deal when the original Smackdown game on PlayStation one had that as a feature

regarding attires, it'd be nice i there would be unique Special Ref attires at some point. Now, we haven't seen muhc, but i assume all of them have the same ref shirt + pants et. stuff. BUt HBK and others iirc had customized Ref gear (Ken with the armless shirt)

I like to role play when i play games I also have a Paul heyman voice The amount of power 2k gave me is gonna be their greatest mistake ONLINE PREPARE YOURSELVES FOR THE HEYMAN HUSTLE
They should make it so that if you hit your finisher on a Special Guest Ref and go for a pin on your opp afterwards, that a normal ref swoops in and does the counting.
These are some great updates and improvements but too bad I went and cancelled my pre-order after finding out that you can't use Resiliency when they use the "Super Finishers" on you and your character has to be on a rating of 85 and up....That killed it for me right there
I wish when u select referee attires it wouldn’t leave there elbow pads and gloves or wrist tape on but minor change’s hopefully they don’t take up caw slots to change them

It’s one on one from what I seen but you can customize the match in the match options

From the looks of things he will only be available in the Showcase.
