I used Valvoline Maxlife full Syntetic ATF on my 2005 GX470 @105k miles, cheap and excellent.. Used 3 Galons. Works with my trans with WS fluid and many many other transmissions. Already drove 25k miles and no issues.
Thanks for sharing, you are wrenching on it which is the most important part, everyone has to learn somehow, hope you still have the Lexy it is a tank of a vehicle.
You should disconnect directly from the return line as far as you can close to the transmission, not the lines from the radiator or transmission cooler. In this case you can also clear up the fluid inside radiator or trans cooler .
Should have just premarked your large pail at 2 quart increments so you don't have to keep emptying it. That way you won't lose track of what came out and the job finishes quicker. Good job getting 'er done though! Thanks
Thanks for the video. I decided to try something a little different. First I brought a 22 quart transparent bucket with 1 quart markings. I also pulled the hose going to the radiator just like you however I used the same male connector to fill. So, I didn't have to pull or push the radiator separately. Therefore I filled 2 quarts after emptying every 2 quarts! Alot faster and cleaner. I used gravity just like you, I just used the same port I poured from. If I ever do this again I would think of a way to hold up the funnel so I don't have to stand there waiting for long periods of time to refill at each interval. Thanks for the confidence I now posses!
It's been some time since you posted, buuuut figured I would ask. I have a 2006, could you hook the return line to a bin of like 10 qts of ATF, and the line to the radiator to a bucket and shut the truck off right before the 10 qt's run out? Wouldn't that keep the level the same?
Hi, thank you for your question. It's been some time since I last posted, but I've been working on a complete overhaul project on the LX that I'll be sharing in a detailed series soon. I've learned a lot since the transmission flush video, especially regarding the method you're suggesting. The idea of connecting the return line to a bin of fresh ATF and the line to the radiator to a bucket, planning to shut off the truck before the fresh ATF runs out, seems like it would maintain the fluid level. However, there's a crucial aspect that prevents this method from working effectively. The transmission's fluid pump is designed to pump the old fluid out, but there's no mechanism to actively pump new fluid in. The transmission won't just suck the new fluid back because it's the pump's action that moves the fluid through the cooling system and back through the return line. Without something to force the new fluid into the transmission at the same rate the old fluid is removed, simply having a supply of new fluid isn't enough. This is where a transmission fluid exchange machine comes into play. It connects to both the supply and return lines, using either the transmission's own pump or an independent pump to ensure the new fluid is forced in at the exact rate the old fluid is expelled. This method guarantees a more efficient and complete fluid exchange than what you're proposing with the buckets. I hope that helps. Please reach out if you have any questions and thank you for watching :)
@@BeginnersLuckGarage Thank you so much for the explanation! I've seen your posts on MUD, and this is 100% what I was trying to understand! See you around, "2000UZJ"
Привет! Посмотрел твоё видео, очень позновательно, молодец! Скажи, почему ты не сливал масло через обратный шланг с радиатора АКПП?? Радиатор АКПП также бы промылся новым масло?
No i just found a good deal on the redline on ebay and it was actually a little cheaper than the Toyota fluid for the amount of bottles i was buying. for my routine drain and fills I will be using the regular Toyota recommended ATF. I can say that after filling with redline my shifting has gotten smother. but this might be just from going from an old worn out fluid to new.
Thanks for the comment! no the remote start is part of the python 2-way remote start and alarm i got. i did an in-depth video of installing and wiring it to.
I've been working and googleing the heck out of how to replace the rack and pinion in a 2001 lexus470 where are the videos please guide me to them please be for I lose it all
I'm sorry I have been lucky to not need to replace my rack and pinion yet. I will make a video about it later on how to replace the bushings in the rack and pinion. but You should check out ih8mud.com they have a lot of info for you on rach and pinion replacement.
С передачи раздался хныканье. Раньше я использовал масло Toyota T-IV, и я узнал, что это неправильно для моей машины. Теперь с Redline D4 шум ушел, и он смещается намного более плавно.
Men. you have no idea what you doing. omg you not suppose to do videos if you have no idea what you are doing because you misinform people that are looking for help. What you do is pretty much trail and error!!! You suppose to pressurize can with new oil and connect it to the other pipe and just run till it sucks it all out. Than you confirm oil lvl and done.

Yea this is a tough video to learn from. That said, i think you’re going to improve and do great things for the tlc.

Great vids! Question regarding the I.D. of the hose you used. Would love to everything in place before taking things apart. Thx
Was the gravity feed necessary? Can't you just add fluid through the dip stick while you drain until it's coming out clean?
He may not have a 03. I think after 03 they sealed it so no dip stick
Just saw he has a dip stick lol nvm 😅
What size is the clear hose u used ?

I need to know how change in my car 2006 Lexus lx470
Do you have a link to a video where you drop the pan and change the filter? I've found one on a LC200 but I'd prefer to see the LC100 if possible....
How many quarts for simple drain and fill?
Привет! Посмотрел твоё видео, очень позновательно, молодец! Скажи, почему ты не сливал масло через обратный шланг с радиатора АКПП?? Радиатор АКПП также бы промылся новым масло?
nice video. I'm also thinking about changing my fluid to synthetic redline d4. how did it worked out? any issues?
None. Runs smooth and shifting is much smoother.
BeginnersLuckGarage can you tell the name of the alarm that you have
hey it is a python 5706. the same ass the viper 5706. i have a video of me installing it.
Would you recommend changing the filter?
My LC is over 200k, but atf fluid is still very clean.
Is Redline better than Toyota AFT? Is that why you chose Redline?
No i just found a good deal on the redline on ebay and it was actually a little cheaper than the Toyota fluid for the amount of bottles i was buying. for my routine drain and fills I will be using the regular Toyota recommended ATF. I can say that after filling with redline my shifting has gotten smother. but this might be just from going from an old worn out fluid to new.
I watched another utoob where gravity feed didn't work. He rigged up a low pressure fluid pump to add atf.
Is that remote control starter original to your Lexus or after market? Awesome video!!
Thanks for the comment! no the remote start is part of the python 2-way remote start and alarm i got. i did an in-depth video of installing and wiring it to.
BeginnersLuckGarage Man! Fast reply, thank you so much!!
Not Dextron it is Dexron

Either have someone help you video or don't move your camera around too much! I feel like puking now!
было чистое масло! почему ты его заменил?
