    Use to spent almost every weekend there from 1988-1995. My step dad sold tickets at the turn 1 gate.

    I miss that place its sucks that they built homes there and people moved in knowing that there was a racetrack there and still complained smh but I will always miss San Jose speedway Watsonville is good too though

      The politicians used that as an excuse. Those evil politicians wanted the land themselves and did nothing with it for decades. The politicians hated the racing. Haven’t been back to San Jose since 2015, so likely to houses or whatever. The city was already looking nothing like it used to in 2015, and it’s way overpopulated. Sucks. Blessed for those San Jose Saturday night racing memories though.

    Scott Ludorff beat Mike Sargeant.

      A wet turn 4 beat Mike Sargent. This is the year (1989) when the crossover started. Scott Luhdorff was in a 410. Mike Sargent was in a 377. By 1990 all cars were running 410s and sprint cars took over San Jose Speedway. You’ll notice the crowds after 1989 gradually went on the decline
