As usual, insightful presentation. Prior to your review, I hadn't much interest in Horrified: American Monsters, but following your review, I've decided to add the game to my collection along side Horrified: Universal Studios Monsters, which was already a hit with my group. Now, I've got the confidence that they'll also enjoy American Monsters.
Played this at Gen Con, had a blast. The Banshee gave us fits because we kept losing progress towards defeating her. Nice overview Cody! Cheers - Joe Stoken @TOTS
I actually have both versions on occasion ill swap heroes in and out like most have identical starting locations on both boards professor van helsing for example say comes to the american town to fight monsters or the psychic goes to the village mansion looking for dracula
Ik i thought bout it n why not the monsters might not be interchangeable but the heroes can be another good example is scientist startimg at the high school its like someone paid dr.frankenstien to be the new scinice teacher during the attacks
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer It's a kids show set in the Pacific Northwest where the kids encounter all sorts of cryptos and mythical monsters.

I've bought this game, but I must say that hunting for common objects all over the town in order to defeat monsters is kinda weird. And what's worse, is to use those objects as hit points.
I heard in the earlier reviews of this some complaints regarding the rule book and the clue design of the Jersey Devil. ... I take it you didn't encounter these issues?
Medusa wasn't actually from Greece, instead she was from the ancient part of North America, what is now San Francisco... .... .... .... .... ..... They say that she was a total stoner.
We’ll, it’s a different set. I agree that I prefer the universal monsters, but I prefer game play here. That said, I wouldn’t want them to do every set with universal monsters. It would get boring fast.

Honestly, I may think that American monsters is superior in terms of gameplay, while I still love the Universal theme.

I'd like to see a Gravity Falls version of Horrified. Just to have the Gnomes (Goosebumps would work too).
I'm not familiar with that.

I actually think it's a pretty fun mech.
Two dad jokes in one video. Thumbs up.
It’s what I do.
Will you review Plains Indian Wars ? (at 4 players if possible)
Stay tuned.

It was a little hard to understand initially, but I figured it out without too much trouble.

First rate,
I wish they'd go back to the universal monsters, this ones monsters didn't appeal to me at all

this game legit looks like a rip-off of Arkham horror
Quite a bit different, actually.
