By far my favorite song in the world. Absolute work of art. Roger Clyne is a great singer, and the Refreshments incredible musicians. This will be my funeral song. Here's to life..
What an awesome band. This brings back memories of my last years of highschool. I miss those days, I'm right there with you christofra. Funny, here's to life!
Saw them in Tempe in Jan '96 and we listened to them lots after that. A real soundtrack to my life after that. And yesterday I really did see the Mekong while flying from Taipei to Bangkok. Thx 4 posting!
My son had the CD and mom heard it and never gave it back. I got busy being a mom and let music go. But this album sure is great. So, sometmes I get back in... good music is always good.
This is SWEET! I just came across this old footage of My Favorite Refreshments song, the bass line grabs me and the brilliant lyrics that make me sing along, "...Here's to Life!!" ( lol, wonder how crazy Kody & his friends thought me & Glenn were Saturday night when we were singin along to this in the car. hahaha)
Listened to Americano? That one was just as good, to me. Different guitar, of course, but equally good. But Brian Blush is definitely the man, I wish they'd get back together and do another Refreshments album one day.
@estuben87 Hell yes they're mostly around. They are Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers with only Roger and P.H (the drummer) being part of the new band, look 'em up, you'll be glad you did.
@squeekieballs I came across an article today written by the "new best friend" mentioned in the song, but I keep getting an error message when I try to post the link. It's in the Tahoe Daily Tribune dated 2/8/12, and the title of the article is, "Roger Clyne's lifelong journey included a drive to Lake Tahoe."
Rogue 2 Music Brian is rock'n it out in Gatlinburg, TN solo and as a member of The Toluene's. Check out Bian Blush the Desert Interview on vimeo. vimeo.com/65246525
Apparently he had a massive drug problem, and ended up falling off the map. He died at one point. www.metrotimes.com/detroit/back-from-the-dead/Content?oid=2176433. He's back now though.

Still one of the greatest albums I've ever heard. Also this is my favorite song to play at bars.
i totally agree...every track has a story, and all the songs stand out. i can listen to it any time!
It’s simply amazing they sound this good live
"Fizzy, Fuzzy, Big and Buzzy" Best album ever

This song has it all - great lyrics, killer guitar, and some great vocal harmonies to boot. One of my favourites.

Good times seeing these guys live in San Diego.....Raise another round! Here's to life!

I love this song, and I can't help but wonder where these guys are today
Going to see them tomorow! HERE's TO LIFE!
Love this album. We use to play just about every song off this album in a cover band in 1999.
These guys were great. I had a band in '99 where we played 10 of the 12 tunes off Fizzy.
GREAT SONG!! LOVE THESE GUYS!!!
best refreshments song ever and they sound good in concert. I woulda loved to see them live sometime. are they still together anyone know
Most underrated band ever
wow i never knew how much of a rockstar Brian Blush was. He looks and sounds awesome with the Les Paul and the coyboy hat!
this could be one of the best songs ever made!!
love this

Too bad they're not around anymore. loved this song, their best!! loved the entire album as well.
Jay Brown they are still around and play this song all the time. They are called Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers
Thats NOT the Refreshments. Its Roger and Paul with a backup band.
@estuben87 Hell yes they're mostly around. They are Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers with only Roger and P.H (the drummer) being part of the new band, look 'em up, you'll be glad you did.
I am greater then life itself. Awesome band though wish they were still here

Great video. Where was this concert at? I'm going to see RCPM in August and can't wait!
@ykmgeedee Totally identify with the music being a soundtrack for our lives! :)
ive never heard of them playing in seattle though...
@chubacaman1 Thanks man :)
Is it just me or does it look like the audio doesn't quite match the video?
Good tune though, miss those guys.
You can - RCNP plays all over the US
Is this the old Gibson's?
Where was this filmed? I ask cause I think I was there..lol
Whatever happened to Brian Blush?

Sadly, that guitarist succumbed to substance abuse. I like RCPM but it was never the same after Brian fell apart.
