Condition and leg up your horses (long trotting and easy gallops) (rub their legs down from the knee to the fetlocks with rubbing alcohol and linament 50-50) for their future well-being. Rubbing each leg for 10 minutes stimulates blood circulation. Wrap with bandages and leg wraps afterwards to keep medicine working longer. Grooms at Churchill Downs are assigned only 4 horses, to give the best care possible. I've worked there!

That darn first barrel always seems to dislike so many but you two will conquer... Poor Jada ouch! Thank goodness she'll be ok. As is said shit happens! Wondering why they got mad at each other! Was your friend's horse hurt also? Jada will be good as new and you can be bummed for a bit then brush it off for the next runs. An emotional ups and downs sometimes and goes with the territory. Her horse was okay! Jada had backed up as much as she could but couldn’t get away. So grateful the ladies beside us were able to stop them before she got hurt any worse.
It’s definitely a challenging arena! And that ground at the first barrel got worse as the week went on (now I’m sounding like a total barrel racer lol). Sunday was scary.
So glad her legs did not get kicked! She sure did cut up.....hoping for fast healing!

I noticed that nearly everyone even in the perf, their horses went by the first barrel at st. Paul
