    In 61 pro fights Bas was 52-8-1 an absolutely amazing career. Hats off to you El Guapo my all time favourite fighter.

      The evolution was crazy too, he was basically a pure striker, got subbed a few times by the shamrocks and funaki, then went deep on learning submissions and finished his career with more sub wins than ko's. Idk where you got that record tho, everything I can find says 28-4-1.

      @@KrikZ32 I included his kickboxing career as well, and yes he was definitely a student anything he needed to do to get better he he would learn. So much passion I wish he didn't have so many health issues.

      @@KrikZ32 another interesting thing about Bas was of those MMA fights the only losses he took was in Pancreas I believe, in what we know now as modern MMA he retired the undefeated heavyweight champ actually but doesn't get credit for that because alot of his fights were in Pancreas and it was still very early in rise of the sport

      @@davidpetruic9557 The reason he doesn't get credit is cuz nobody thought he win against Randleman for the belt. It was the most controversial decision back in the day.
      And that's why he then also moved down cuz I dont think he himself thought he won. Cuz why else leave a belt right?

    I love Bas. I came into the sport on the back of PRIDE. I still go back and watch their old cards from time to time. For my money Bas and Quadros are the greatest commentary team ever put together

    That glove definitely seems be an improvement. Wish they would have used Trevor Whitmans glove as well in UFC.

    Bad Ruttens comentary on all his fights are awesome. When watching from the first fight he honesty in his commentary takes you deep into understanding his growth as a fighter. If you haven't seen them, I suggest you look for them and watch it. I think it's on his TH-cam channel. Look into it.

    El guapo!! When I was younger they had a pride fc highlight show that Bas hosted with frank trigg and sometimes a different host. I learned so much listening to Bas breakdown subs or how a fighters stance caused the knockout! He is one of the greatest ever!!

    At the end, Bas describes what Chandler did to Hooker very well. He didn't just hit him with body shots, he really went as hard as he could with them so Hooker was forced to block, then went for the head and the rest is history.

    Bas you're my favorite, been a fan of you since I got into the sport almost 10 years ago, but respectfully you don't know what you're talking about on this one. Dale Brown is an undefeated martial arts coach with extensive training in combat. In fact i would recommend you stop in to get your D.U.S.T. certification so that you can continue coaching with a degree of credibility.
