My own greed aside...
Doing a build out of wood when you guys are a metal shop speaks loads about all of yall as crafts men. There was no way that could have been easy for you guys and I don't know if you were just pushing yourselves or giving your fans what they wanted. Either way, you all just keep findings ways to top yourselves, you guys are amazing.
And we enjoyed the outcome. Brilliant work!
I'm guessing they spent just as much time cleaning sawdust out of the milling machine as they did making the blade. ;)
This build was almost as complex as the Kingdom Hearts lore.
Micah emphasis on ALMOST as complex.
Naw man, this build fit inside a 14 minute video and made sense. Kingdom Hearts lore couldn't do either.

You mean the answer to the question of "What is Kingdom Hearts"? Because each game seems to change that... Sometimes its a place, sometimes it's a concept, sometimes it's a thing.
This Pirates Keyblade ended up being one of my favorites to use in KH3
I stayed with he twin shooters right up until i got this Keyblade. The Star Seeker gave me that Dot Hack feel but this blade gave me a Devil May Cry vibe, it feels fast and its super flashy especially in flag form though i think the nano blade shotlock is my favorite.
I maxed out the monsters inc keyblade and never looked back 😂
because it is the second strongest to the ultima?
@@RedDawn430 for me, I thought it was super badass to see Sora kicking ass with a spear, like he is a dragoon from Final Fantasy. I think the Monster's Ink yo-yo is just as dope too

Probably easier if the wheel can spin, just put a piece of wood through it and hang it there

I love the three episodes where you guys bring a Keyblade from my favourite video game series to life. But, even though you've used wood instead of your usual metals, you guys have really outdone themselves. I was wondering if you would do Way to Dawn next (if it's possible), or even Kadaj's double bladed katana from Final Fantasy: Advent Children. Thanks
Kadaj's Katana is just a Katana with two blades. Compared to all the other stuff they make it's almost nothing. ^^

I have Kadaj's katana. It's very difficult to wield and sounds like a tuning fork. It isn't sharpened so I don't lose fingers
just when you thought the regular keyblade was impractical

Yeah it looks like if someone ever actually got in a sword fight with it, the weapon would just chip apart. I would say wood is only go for clubbing people or perhaps stabbing someone.

Actually, it DOES have a pommel; the guard just is pinned into it.

Neat. Indeed, it's a massive departure from the norm, but let's be honest here, you guys did an excellent job, each bringing a specific element towards a greater whole. Whilst it might be true of every other build, it's where something isn't usually done, where it shines.

Keyblades are unwieldable in the real world they just use it in the most optimal and real way to wield it.

Also i feel like they didn't have enough space to hold the blade in the format sora does, looking at it, the grip looks a bit too small to fit both hands like Sora seems to.
However considering that everyone on KH wields it differently, they could hold it like roxas, or aqua etc etc.

Calm down, this is a one time thing because of how unique the design is.
There are a lot of real bladed weapons, its fun to see them try something new for them, something diffrent is always interesting to see from them.
I’m kinda on this feeling as well, there are tons and tons of other bladed weapons out there that people have requested. While I do enjoy woodworking, it’s not why I came to their channel. As soon as they said it was wood, I skipped to the end and probably won’t watch the whole vid again.
Ilya was busy this week, so they had to do wood instead XD

How were the balloons popping though? It wasnt sharp or anything

I'm super impressed with the skulls. I would love to learn to work in metal, but for the time being I make my children wooden swords and sometimes use a dremel to carve pictures in the guard. My new goal is to get so talented that I can turn a cue ball into skulls.
