Kinda sad to see MWH go. I was hoping that it and MWI would return to flying with MASwings. I suppose it is due to them being surplus to requirement? And what will happen to MWI? Also be given to a new owner, or potentially becoming a spares donor.. Still, nice catch!
MWH and MWI were divested by MASwings during the Covid recession in 2020, like Firefly with its FYA, FYB, and FYE. While FY's ATRs found new owners pretty early on, MWH and MWI were left rotting away in SZB for 4 long years before Madagascar wanted to buy them. Those engineers did hell of a job bringing them back into a flyable condition.
@@yhfhdcf If that's the case, then some of the destinations that MASwings currently serve have airports that can only accommodate turboprops like the ATR. What sense does that plan make? Said destinations would've been disconnected altogether. And what's gonna happen with the Twin Otters anyway?
@@DanielQihuaiNg Ah, I see. But of all the ATRs they could've divested, why not MWA or MWB, their oldest ATRs? It kinda makes sense to keep the newer ones and retire the older ones.
I have always wondered, MASwings reduced their ATR72-500 feet from 10 to 8, can it still meet their operational needs? And what type of aircraft would MASwings potentially use for the short inter-domestic flights in Sarawak after retiring the ATR72-500? Jet aircraft? Airports such as LMN, MZV, MKM are only handling turboprop aircraft as of now
Difference? If you are asking the difference: 1. A400M has round nose while C130 have protruding nose 2. Most A400M has a refuel pipe in front of it. 3. Check the main gear, C130 has 2x2 while A400M has 3x2

@@kmhooibg7577 Useful info and all, but I'm pretty sure he's asking about what time of a day the Hercs and Atlases can be spotted.
