I was late to TikTok so I watch these compilations to try and find the controversy and all I see is a Black woman minding her business and living her best life and making money while doing it…

I think it’s the trend nowadays to hate on Mormon tradwives (she married a Mormon man and he said they’re trying to live a relaxed version of a Mormon life) - people also hate on that Mormon tradwife ballerina farm lady/hannah neeleman as well. I think it’s a combo of factors why she and others like her get hate and criticism - part of it being their hypocrisy.
But Nara smith is NOT a trad wife - she makes a living off this demure housewife act shes got going on. her job is being a social media influencer and she’s on her way to earning millions of dollars from her tradwife cosplay but meanwhile regular people ( girls, boys, men and women) are getting influenced by her and other influencers like her and thinking that women should be living tradwife existences when there is so much underlying issues with women living this kind of lifestyle to the point our grandmothers fought to free themselves from being forced into the role of homemaker and to give the younger generation of women the option to free themselves from having to be tradwives. I see so many young girls seeing Nara’s lifestyle and thinking this is how they want to live and it blinds them to the reality of the powerlessness and vulnerable position they would place themselves in by being a tradwife who doesn’t have millions of followers and brand deals worth thousands every month.
Also I think it triggers women bc in the comments of Nara and ballerina farms videos, you’ll see people constantly praising women like Nara and saying things like how all women should be cooking and staying home with their kids and serving their husbands, blah blah blah - there’s a reason why our grandmothers used to be forced to live this role and they decided it was oppressive in ways that aren’t obvious and fought for women to have more options in life.
