    I have been using the Galaxy Note line up to take serious notes since I was a student back in 2011... Since the first gen Galaxy Note! Now I'm a professional engineer and I'm still taking notes with a Galaxy Note device, I'm rockin a Galaxy Note 8. The best note taking device is the device that's always with you! And nothing beats a Galaxy Note in that.

    Have you not noticed smart select, it's soooooo convenient. You could take a picture and copy and paste the words on it into a note, that helped me so much when my professor is going fast with the slides and I can't take notes

    • @_laifishardisntit_1379
      @_laifishardisntit_1379 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      How can you keep up taking notes for lectures that doesn't give out handouts/slides? I tried to take notes with my phone but I had to zoom in zoom out pretty inconvenient. Quite hard to keep up. I'm wondering if I should buy a tablet or just use a binder.

    • @videogamesaremytherapy1797
      @videogamesaremytherapy1797 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@_laifishardisntit_1379 well this was before covid tbh. I would take the picture of the slide, then go into smart select to copy and then paste what is written into a Google doc. This was a lot of my notes. Also, I had professors give homework that includes summarizing a chapter, so I would take a picture of the text I need to copy and smart select it onto a Google doc which cuts my note taking time into a 1/4 of what it was. I still have a laptop as well. This phone by itself is NOT enough for school. At the moment, I have a tablet that makes taking notes easy (only if the professors provide a pdf of their lecture tho, because otherwise it's the same you have to write the notes down). So it's a pro-con situation. What kind of classes are you in, and do you have a laptop?

    • @_laifishardisntit_1379
      @_laifishardisntit_1379 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@videogamesaremytherapy1797 Thanks for the info. Fyi, I have a laptop and only used it for doing presentations, homeworks(if they allow typing it), and video assignments. Some of the professors, as I mention, didn't give any modules so I have to take notes what they said by writing from scratch and it's kind of hard to keep up since writing in my phone is quite hard (zoom in zoom out). Other lectures are fine since I can just annotate on the book or write on the slides. Do you think it's better to buy a tablet instead or maybe I'll just stick to my binder?

    • @videogamesaremytherapy1797
      @videogamesaremytherapy1797 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@_laifishardisntit_1379 what I would do before spending money on a tablet is try to open zoom on the laptop, leave it on in front of you and take pictures of it, then use smart select to copy and paste the words into a doc. That way you won't have to keep going in and out if zoom. What I LOVE is that I can have two tabs open next to each other on a laptop, this is how I use it: Google doc both on my phone and on one window, and zoom on the other window. That way you can use the phone to copy and paste onto the doc, then finish typing on the laptop window.
      That was one thing I remember doing. Again, getting a tablet won't solve the zoom in zoom out problem, because you can't use a picture to copy and paste the words on that picture so you have to take a screenshot from zoom and annotate on it. But if annotations are preferable to you than typing the notes then I'll suggest getting it. Rn I use a iPad but only for classes that give out the lecture as a pdf, so I don't know what it's like to use it with zoom screenshots. Ask me as many questions as you'd like I'd love to help. Also update me on what you end up doing

      @@videogamesaremytherapy1797 Thanks a lot! You gave me a lot of help that I'm guilty for it hehehe sorry. I think I won't buy tablet since I got my phone here since I like writing it more than typing it (actually because I read an article that says writing can help us remember things more well(?)). For gdocs alternative, I think samsung note might help me (anotating screen shots). I'll try to update later on since school will start soon on July and now I'm on break.

      @Steve Sam Kurians I am pretty sure there isn't that feature.
      But hey, since u asked, I started using another app that is worth replacing Autodesk sketchbook, it is called "S notes".
      That one does have a similar feature that samsung calls "posting on ur pen.up" which allows u to upload it and use it from another device.
      The only point that made me use "S note" more often is the ability to create more than one page in the same file (note), whereas on Autodesk sketchbook I used to use multiple layer -and it was tedious to switch between them-.
      I still use the Autodesk sketchbook for drawing tho -All my art is done on it believe it or not-, but I use S note more often for uni stuff and note taking.
      Edit: "S notes" isn't available on Play store. It can be downloaded from the Galaxy Store. c;

      @@onelove_112 Look it is good, sometimes things might get crammed. That is why I do use dex to read my notes off my monitor at home... So it really comes down to personal preference. :)
      One thing I would tell you tho, if you are going to buy a device only to take notes, I would rather you buy a tab device. Because as you can already tell it has a bigger display. But if you want a new 'phone' that is a powerhouse, with one of the best displays in the market and don't like to experience lags here and there in any sort, then go with the note 9.
      Especially now you would get good deals after the note 10 and 10+ have been released. If your budget allows, do consider them, because they have a larger display, and hence are more convenient.

    I dont know if i would use it as my main method of taking notes for college, but it is a useful tool for jotting down a few notes. The small size just makes it difficult to take a lot of notes.
    However, i am a big fan of one-note It is easy to arrange and manage your notes on just about any device. If you decide to use the note and the s-pen, you can use one note's search feature to search handwritten notes.

    No, in-class teachers will not allow writing on a phone. And at home, we have to do practice for writing as we have to write continuously for 3 hours without stopping even for a few seconds. However, we could use it for the rough work or if you have to send a solved question to your friend then you could solve the question on that phone.

    I clicked on your video , hope you appreciate that too . Listen dude, you need to get over yourself. If you feel the need to tell people how you are suffering to bring them whatever it is you bringing , then you have much bigger issues you should be focusing on , rather than making videos to hopefully one day support yourself, which by the way , with your attitude , I highly doubt you'll achieve.

    That note 9 was more junk than the note 8, I'm going for the 6.5 inch iPhone xs what ever it's called I had the 512 gb blue note 9 and was pure junk wasn't impressed at all that Dolby atoms was a joke and s pen features not worth 1300 bucks rather put that into the high end iPhone later this month glad I returned the note 9 and got my money back
