Perfect timing, I just woke up from a nap & had a Brook & Connor FEVER DREAM. Connor was a cashier at the bakery I worked at & he left to go steal the recipe to Dunkin’s doughnuts. Then, fast forward I saw Brook come out the bathroom & Kerby **who I know doesn’t speak** asked to go in after and Brook was like “yeah totally that’s fine”… Kerby goes in and Brook turns to her boyfriend? and says “watch this”.. **Brook had just left a HEATER of a dook in the toilet**… seconds later Kerby comes out the bathroom, SCREAMS, and I wake up.
connor's story about being in the church and panicking about going up and not being catholic (to bow instead of taking the cracker) is something that happened to me at my cousin's baptism... i was 11 and didn't know that if you're not catholic you don't take the cracker... i thought we all had to take one so i grabbed mine and went to walk away only for the minister to grab me by my shoulder and scold me for walking away.. i remember people glaring at me and i sobbed (same thing happened to another cousin of mine that went up as well) because i felt awful. lol so i can totally get the anxiety and confusion that would come from that! love the pod!!
If you’re an actual music fan, Shaky Knees is one of the best / chilliest festivals out there. It’s right in the middle of Atlanta, people who go are genuinely there for the music, and it’s just a whole vibe.

I did theatre when I was younger and learned that saying “break a leg” meant a few different things but didn’t hear the cast thing. There’s a part that holds up the curtains called the leg line so “break a leg” means i hope the curtains open and close so many times (each time you bow) that it breaks. Or it could have another meaning for paid actors because if you are not on stage you’re standing behind the leg line and not being paid, so like I hope you make it on stage passed the leg line aka break it.

Back in the og days of theater, when a performance was over the cast would bow and the curtains would close, if the audience continued to clap they would open the curtain and bow again. If this happened SO many times, the “leg” would break. So the term “break a leg” is a way of saying perform so well that the audience claps so much the curtain breaks!

As an Ex catholic I feel obligated to mention that Catholics believe that the communion is LITERALLY, not metaphorically, that it’s Jesus’ body and blood. It’s actually a big reason for other denominations spilling off from the church.
The best are the people who claim they have anxiety but then get mad at/frustrated with you (who has diagnosed anxiety disorders since she was 10) when you have severe anxiety. Like ok??????
Love your show, but your discussion of long Covid is extremely dismissive and ignorant of the reality that many people are suffering with severe neurological, cardiovascular, and multiple organ issues. A lot of the medical community also doesn’t know how to treat chronic illness, so it’s not as easy as just going to a doctor. I don’t mean to come across critical or mean spirited, but I would suggest looking into these issues a little further and believing the patients that are explaining their symptoms because it’s not a small thing they’re dealing with.
