Background art: a rare US advertising banner for Walt Disney's Pinocchio Circus, which was distributed by various bread bakeries during 1939. Disney's animated version of Pinocchio was released in cinemas in February 1940 and would go onto to become one of the most iconic animated movies in history. This is undoubtedly one of the earliest Disney Pinocchio pieces, pre-dating the first release of the movie, just like this Lux Radio Theater broadcast.

A masterpiece even on the radio. I have read something about it, that was on the Christmas day of 1939, with the original dubbers. Before Pinocchio was finally released. It's so moving and beautiful. 🌠✨❤️
