I'm happy I saw Berg in Liverpool in the 90's he played 2 sets the first set was very technical with a tendency to perform long solos, I fucking loved it, however, I took my wife who wasn't a jazz fan, she struggled with the first set, complaining of a headache 😆 However the 2nd set was full of fusion and funk which I loved even more, and luckily the wife transitioned from a hater to a lover!
TOCAR SAX OU QUALQUER INSTRUMENTO, É PRECISO NÃO SOMENTE VERSATILIDADE, MAS TAMBÉM, MISTURAR COM ELEGÂNCIA, ACORDES, MELODIA E HARMONIA !!! GRATO PELO VIDEO VARANI !!! 😄😄😄😄
The THEME is about similarities of sound, style and approaches to performing OrganicJazz - not about one's CAPABILITIES or lack thereof to play JAZZ , Organic (Real) Jazz a la Master Bob Berg!
Well, probably you don't know anything about jazz music, but surely you know who is Steve Reich. He says that one of his most influential listening was AFRICA/BRASS by John Coltrane because of the harmonic and rythmic concepts and the sound so peculiar of his saxophone style. Bob berg was on the same path of the greatest improvisers in jazz history. So, instead to speak about something you don't know and don't understand, try to study, read and listen more then you did before now.
Well its certain that neither Adolf Sax and Henri Selmer would have any idea that their creation was being played in front of a paying live audience in such an horrendous manner . Yes it is a lot of noise but it is not music. If you think so then you misunderstand what music is ,

Went to high school with Bob Berg at the high school of performing arts. Spoke with him one day before he passed in the tragic accident
I chatted with bob between sets at a gig in Philly in the 90s. Super cool dude. Huge loss.
