- This house deals with your profession. From the profession flows everything else. After the 1st house the most important house is the 10th house. The 1st house is you, your body, mind and soul put together. Without it there is no life. So the 1st house is important. But the 10th house is the purpose of this life.
If Venus occupies the 10th house for example the purpose of life will be related to entertainment, design, graphic, cinema, and creativity.
If Mars occupies the 10th house the person will be in something that requires guts, energy, force, physical, daring deeds. So such a person may be a policeman, sportsman, a car racer, martial arts expert, or a marketing person armed with an MBA degree.

My 9 th lord sun in 10 th house with 7 th lord Mercury in Virgo.But debilitated and at 28 degree.Still no career.Obstacles in all aspect of career.

Dear Dhilip Sir, very interesting video, as always you are just brilliant. I just had a question to ask that is if the 10th house is the house of livelihood and if so I assume that you generate your income as well via service or business because of the 10th house then why is the 11th house of gains. When we choose our our careers which now much has to finally do with how much you can earn as well then which house do you give more significance to, that is the 10th house planet position or choose a profession or business depending on the 11th house. 10th house is the main purpose of the current life and hence treated as livelihood. Choosing the right career is NOT an easy task. You need to know many rules and combinations which means only an expert can do it. The 11th house is simply fulfilment of desire. If the 11th house and the 10th house are favorably connected one earns very well through the profession, if not one works very hard without adequate gains. Having a background in software, I wrote did the software for finding the right career. I must confess that without the software I find it difficult as I have to remember so many rules which I have fed into the system. This topic should be handled only by experts.
