Range Rover to the rescue you just can't beat them, we've been pulled out more than once in our old van with a RR. Thank you both and we had such a lovely time. Getting stuck was funny as it’s just a bit of mud 😆 If it had been raining we’d have stayed well clear of the grass!! Riki had a lovely time cleaning the van when we got home 😂 Hope to see you the Big Picnic if not before and all the best with your exciting plans 😊

We had to honour Mark’s Chinese!!! 🥡 what a dream come true!! 😂😍 We’ve plenty of meet ups to come with hopefully a bit less mud 😅 Thank you MoHo besties 😘 xxxx
Greet fun guys , one of the best we watched recently - we stayed glued through out. I know it seems strange but we even use our Remoska for porridge, it's amazing and will work with the 1000w Jackery off grid , ah you covered that bit as I typed. Funny listening to a Southerner pronouncing Remoska 😂😂😂😂Thanks for a great watch H and M. Ps a tip buy a heat proof pad for underneath if you intend using it in your van.
Thank you both 😊 Do I sound like a Southerner? 🙈 I’m a Midlander by birth! 😂 my accent changes depending on who I’m talking to! 🤣 Heat proof mat is a good shout. Looking forward to trying out lots of different meals in this wonder device! 😊 x
Great vlog guys, love your 650,, the remoska is a great bit of kit, had ours a few years now, great to do a full roast dinner, can't attach a pic here though.
Thank you. The 650 really is our dream van. We can’t wait to get out on some longer trips very soon. I’ve joined a Remoska Facebook group and have been amazed at what can be made in them. A full roast dinner is going to be my goal 😊
Wow I was getting anxious just watching the 5 tonne beast going down the country lanes 😂 well Riki didn’t half make a mess of that. From bowling green to a swamp in a matter of minutes 😂 are we hardstanding at Easter? 400 Watts for the small one, that’s amazing. Great fun Vlog as usual 😊 xx
Thank you 😂 Riki always likes to make an ‘impression’ wherever he goes! 😁 Let’s hope it’s hard standing at Easter 🐣 or we could be in trouble 🤗 If it’s dry we can test the Remoska and cook outside with the power banks! Xx
Hi Beth great video (not so much for you both getting stuck) looking forward to tour of the van she is beautiful what a machine🤗 I'd love a video on how your getting on with a bigger van, was it a good move? (Can tell I'm anxious can't you) Ha ha I just can't wait to have all that extra space inside and the fact I can get up, leave the other half in bed, shut the door a
Hi Chrissey. Thank you and getting stuck was ok really I just laughed a lot!! 😂 We did a quick van tour a few vlogs ago but I’m thinking we need to do a more thorough one as you’re not the first to ask about it 😊 We could combine that with the pros and cons of up-sizing! I think we’d like to get a few more trips under our belt in the new van to give a fair review. You will love the space!! It’s so great to have a hotel room on wheels with a solid door (doors in our case) separating the bedroom from the living area. No noise from the kettle or coffee machine can be heard in the bedroom 👍🏻 I’m taking the van on a solo trip soon and that’s making me nervous!!! 😳 You must be counting down the days!! Xx
Beth, yes sounds fab pro's & con's video 😃 yes it's not been long enough yet your right! I just love your videos I get excited when I get a reminder there's a new vid from you guys ha ha🤣 We also will have 2 solid doors BRILL. Fair play to you tho solo trip OMG 😲 wow. Yes counting the days but has been put back to July😫 question is if it's late July do we wait a little longer and do September 72 plate (my big 50th birthday was in February so 72 plate would have some meaning too) and it was the Yr I was born how mad is that!!! Well take care and enjoy the beast (the van of coarse) 🤣🤣🤣 xx
@@chrissey663 oh thank you that’s lovely. Yep solid doors is the dream between one partner that’s awake and one that’s not!! 😆 Oh wow well it might be worth waiting those extra couple of months as that 72 plate would be really extra special ❤️ What a lot you have to celebrate this year 🥳 milestone birthday and a new beautiful motorhome!! 😍😍 Thank you as always for your lovely comments xx
We never go on grass normally, but we knew there was a back up plan and you only live once! Not something I’d want to repeat every weekend 😅 but we did have fun
Hello both. Great vlog again. We were wondering when it was going to be on. “Park it here it looks great” love it. Are we having a tour of your new bus ?Looks beautiful. Your new gizmo looks interesting. It appears that you can cook almost everything in it. I can hear my other half’s cogs whirring … please keep us posted.
We did a quick whizz around of this van a few vlogs ago. But we might need to do a proper one now we have the settled in a bit more. You’re welcome to come and have a guided tour if we see you out and about this summer 😊 The Remoska does promise good things. From the Peterborough motorhome show onwards we have a packed calendar in the van. So I will be putting it through its paces! 👍🏻
@@TheHillsExplore Hi Beth ? Thanks for reply. When you off next ? We’ve just had a great weekend at Malvern club site. Weather was perfect. Next trip Putts corner 13th to 17th. Roll on !!
@@marksmith668 oh wow that’s lovely you’ve had such good weather. May it continue! We are meeting up with friends at Easter, then I’m going Peterborough for the National Motorhome show but solo. I can’t wait to get out on the road again! Beth 😊

@@marksmith668 we’ve been to their sister shows in Shepton Mallet a couple of times. And I went to the Peterborough motorhome sale show in January. There will hopefully be lots of motorhomes and Campervans to look round and lots and lots of stall holders selling all sorts of accessories and services. That’s my favourite bit! Plus the alcohol stalls of course. Lots of free samples! Check out our vlog last summer of the Shepton Mallet show. It think it’s called Shots at Shepton Mallet. That will give you an idea of what to expect. Pre booking for camping closes tomorrow night I think. But day tickets will be available 😊 There will be lots to see and the Radfords, Life Beyond Bricks, the Urban Motorhome and Wandering Bird will all be there giving talks and advice 😊
Well done both for keeping the humour throughout (unless they were in the ‘outtakes that can’t be aired’ file 🤣🤣). Look forward to seeing the Remoska review Beth, once you have had a proper chance to use it, I am quite interested in getting one…but which size?? 😍😍 Cassie and Derren x
The sun was shining, the people were friendly so we honestly laughed (almost) the whole time 😂 We weren’t going to let a bit of mud put us off 💪🏻 On first try with the Remoska I think the regular size would have been a better choice. However, I’m doing more research so watch this space! 😊 x
Hi Katie. The answer is probably nothing 😊 but we wanted to cook outside on our little camping stove to be sociable and only had a few sausages to cook. So the Remoska seemed a bit too big for the job! We’ve had the Ridgemonkey for a while now and it’s great to use on gas. I’m looking forward to seeing what the Remoska can do 😊 I’ve no idea how long it takes to cook things yet and I should probably have got the smaller one. But until I start using it and get my head around the fact that you can use it like an oven I have lots to learn 😬 xx
Our motorhome is certainly not designed as an off road vehicle! But many campsites in the UK have grass pitches and with our wet weather, getting stuck happens regularly. However, the campsite management here have a 4 wheel drive vehicle on hand for their visitors - which gets a lot of use!
Why did you drive a 5t motorhome across the whole field, chew it all up just to move back the the bottom end anyway? Caused yourselves a load of grief and damage to the grass for absolutely no reason🤷♂️
Alex I’m not sure if you have watched the vlog? We explain that we are attending an event and the event is being held on that field. So that was where the site owners wanted everyone to park 😊 Before we went on to the grass, knowing the grass wasn’t firm, we spoke to the site wardens and discussed all options. They were equipped with a 4X4 tow vehicle and ropes as this is par for the course when you run a rural site with a large grass field. They run rallies all the time and the grass quickly regrows between events they told us. So armed with that information we were happy to live on the edge and drive on to the grass field. We aimed for higher ground, but that didn’t work out. So we let gravity and nature decide where we parked. It was all fine and mud washes off and grass regrows so no harm done 👍🏻 Campsites all over the UK would be closing down if they only used their grass pitches when the ground was perfectly dry. We had a great time and have stayed at campsites since where they have grass pitches and rain. As long as we are sure they have the capacity to tow you off if needed, then we want to support them with our custom and are happy to drive sensibly distanced from other vehicles and wash the van afterwards so they don’t lose their livelihood 😊 Each to their own on this one, but I hope this explains our reasoning and thoughts on grass pitches 😊 P.S. if hard standing is on offer Mr Hill would take that option every time! But sometimes it isn’t
It's pronounced Remoska. Hope I helped 🌟.
