I served in the police for best part of 17 years. I am absolutely appalled by the failure to arrest the male at the time when the police initially attended. Given the serious nature of the allegation- sexual assault, the failure to act was appalling, it's dereliction of duty. Had I attended that scene, that male would have been cuffed and in the back of a patrol vehicle. His two mates would have been getting locked up too on suspension of being party to a conspiracy to commit sexual assault. I know exactly how I would written up Tommy's minimal use of force to deal with the male, who became aggressive initially towards Tommy when he realised he was being detained until the police arrived. The male made verbal threats of violence towards Tommy, and fearing for his own personal safety, and also that of his daughter, Tommy made a pre-emptive strike in self-defence by using a flat palm strike on the miscreant's face. He then took the male to the ground to restrain him to prevent further violence. Under English Common Law, which goes back to medieval times, you can use a PRE-EMPTIVE strike in self-defence if you genuinely fear that you are in immediate danger of being assaulted. The police response to this incident was appalling. The two tier system of policing in Britain today STINKS. I would be ashamed to still be serving. I quit in disgust in 2014 after 16.5 years service- best thing I ever did. I cannot think of anybody who I have seen the establishment make such determined and repeated efforts to break as Tommy Robinson. I admire the man because he displays moral courage and sheer determination to continue speaking out about unpleasant TRUTHS that the authorities would prefer to quietly turn a blind eye too. He does so regardless of the inconvenience and cost to himself. I've wanted to know what happened with this for so long. I watched the video of his arrest at Centre Parcs, even if I wasn't a father it would have made my blood boil. Sorry that even defending his daughter from a pervert isn't enough. It seems even a jury is as corrupt as the rest of out criminal justice system. The man is the bravest, most resilient man I have ever seen.
Yes, spot on! I remember when this story came out the Daily Mail's version was that Tommy Robinson had been arrested because "he believed a man was committing an offence". It failed to mention that he was trying to protect his daughter from a paedophile. Glad we have social media channels such as this that tell a much different (and truer) story.

The Police made a massive issue out of the situation- tens and tens of Police just for him for them to make some kind of point. I physically saw a bunch of Syrian guys surrounding a woman and one tried to walk off with her daughter. She made some noise about it and the guy let the girl go. Police came (this was a beach in Scotland) and told her it was a cultural misunderstanding and let him go. She posted about it on Facebook that night. The police made her take it down

I served in the police for best part of 17 years. I am absolutely appalled by the failure to arrest the male at the time when the police initially attended. Given the serious nature of the allegation- sexual assault, the failure to act was appalling, it's dereliction of duty. Had I attended that scene, that male would have been cuffed and in the back of a patrol vehicle. His two mates would have been getting locked up too on suspension of being party to a conspiracy to commit sexual assault. I know exactly how I would written up Tommy's minimal use of force to deal with the male, who became aggressive initially towards Tommy when he realised he was being detained until the police arrived. The male made verbal threats of violence towards Tommy, and fearing for his own personal safety, and also that of his daughter, Tommy made a pre-emptive strike in self-defence by using a flat palm strike on the miscreant's face. He then took the male to the ground to restrain him to prevent further violence. Under English Common Law, which goes back to medieval times, you can use a PRE-EMPTIVE strike in self-defence if you genuinely fear that you are in immediate danger of being assaulted.
The police response to this incident was appalling. The two tier system of policing in Britain today STINKS. I would be ashamed to still be serving. I quit in disgust in 2014 after 16.5 years service- best thing I ever did.
I cannot think of anybody who I have seen the establishment make such determined and repeated efforts to break as Tommy Robinson. I admire the man because he displays moral courage and sheer determination to continue speaking out about unpleasant TRUTHS that the authorities would prefer to quietly turn a blind eye too. He does so regardless of the inconvenience and cost to himself. He is a TRUE patriot, that in no way makes him any sort of 'racist,' he just has a moral compass and will not tolerate the authorities trying to ignore the heinous offence of child grooming by gangs of Asian males. I watched Tommy Robinson's speech at the Oxford Union, which is on YT, I would urge anybody to view it, Tommy is NOT a racist, nor a fascist. he just wants the authorities to uphold the laws of the land and apply them equally to ALL communities in this country.
