    I just found your channel and am having a blast watching all your videos! Usually I don't prefer watching youtubers who are younger than me, but you are so knowledgeable. I am so excited to finish the school year so I can start making clothes

    Can you do a video showing how to use the measurements on the machine? It may seem simple but I seem to always mess up 🥺

    Hello! I have a question, can you tell me the estimated ease to shirr a garment for the pattern making? The fit looks soo good from your shop, it looks comfy as well.
    Thank you so much for the content on this channel btw, i learned so much about sustainable fashion and branding 💕🥰
    Much love from Indonsia 😘

      Thank you! It totally depends on the fabric! I usually make it a couple inches bigger than the largest part of the body :)

    Hi! What is the measurement you use for the fabric before shirring?

    • @NataliaTrevinoAmaro
      @NataliaTrevinoAmaro  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the size you’re making! I usually make sure it’s big enough of a measurement to fit over the largest part of the body :)

    What do you do when the bobbin runs out while sewing?

    • @NataliaTrevinoAmaro
      @NataliaTrevinoAmaro  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rewind it and start again! I usually just backstitch wherever it left off and continue from there :)

    i've been trying to shirr for a few days now, but i cant seem to get it right. the elastic thread comes out wavy and squiggly. i've tried ALL tensions and its still the same :( any idea what could be wrong?

    • @NataliaTrevinoAmaro
      @NataliaTrevinoAmaro  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tension is the first thing I’d say to test out, if not, make sure that it’s properly threaded at the top because it sounds like it’s not catching it properly!

    • @astelierzun
      @astelierzun 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NataliaTrevinoAmaro thank you! I will give it another try. Shirred tops look so cute to give up learning to shirr 😂

  • @johnnydshooot
    @johnnydshooot 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you so much for all that info ! Ever since I discovered your brand, I’ve wanted to try and make my own shirring! It looks super cute ! Just one question, how much bigger do you need cut the fabric in order for it to fit properly ? Does it shrink by half or more ? Thank you ! 😁

    • @NataliaTrevinoAmaro
      @NataliaTrevinoAmaro  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! The shrinkage definitely depends on the fabric, but I like to make it a couple inches bigger than the largest part of the body to ensure that it’ll naturally slip on with ease :)

    • @johnnydshooot
      @johnnydshooot 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NataliaTrevinoAmaro thanks! I will definitely test it out once I find a fabric that’s appropriate 😊

    Hi! I love your channel! I'm just starting out with sewing and I've learned a lot from your channel :) Is there a specific foot to use when gathering and shirring? The gathering foot my machine has doesn't look like the one you used, and when I tried to use it, it didn't actually work. Any advice?

    • @NataliaTrevinoAmaro
      @NataliaTrevinoAmaro  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve never actually used a gathering foot! I always do it with the normal one :)
