I completely agree with the max being the sweet spot, as I initially ordered the standard pro and whilst in store on launch day I played about with both pro sizes and much preferred the max. I cancelled my order and ordered the max, which I have had for 4 days and I really love it ❤
I think every part of the phone is better (because it is the latest) except the camera button. They should have put touch ID on that button to make sense adding a button. It is easier to take blurred photos because of the hand movement using the button compared to using the button from the screen. I think the only useful part is when zooming in to something.
I actually think you have a good idea here. I’m not sure this camera button is going to be that functional. It might end up like the Touch Bar on the MacBook Pro a few years ago. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Should I trade in from regular 14 Pro with 87% bh from February 2023 to 16 Pro Max or wait for the 17 Pro Max? And if the 16, should I go for the 16 Pro or 16 Pro Max? I have large hands and want better battery life but the 12pm was too big for me for 1.5 years of use, but the 14 pro has much worse battery life and it's heavier for some reason but is more compact and convenient, but the keyboard size on the pro max is more convenient for me.
Hmm id suggest going into the Apple Store and feeling both in hand to make sure you like the size. After 2 generations an upgrade is normally worth it. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
I changed my iPhone 13 Pro battery at the Apple Store instead; going to ride this baby until iPhone 17. I am also a Verizon postpaid customer and that deal is very tempting. Apple’s AI features are not fully released yet, so might as well wait to 2025 to upgrade. Awesome content

Excellent question! There are lots of details that help make your decision, but I would say a few things: I would absolutely get the 16 because it is amazing, and if you’re upgrading, get the latest and greatest. This is important because carriers often lock you into trade-in deals that can last for years, so I like to get the best tech possible. The second thing i would say is that when you finance these phones through the carrier, the difference is only a few dollars a month. So you really wont even notice the difference by getting the best of the best. However, if you’re just buying the iPhone outright, no trade in, and you’re actually going to pay the extra 200 out of pocket….i would still totally get the 16. If nothing else, you should have a better camera, battery life, and slightly larger screen size. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
honestly, it depends what you care about most the 16 pro max is slightly more ftureproof (the 15 pro max will still last you 5+ years, probably even more). You'll get a year or so more worth of updates too (this doesn't matter if you plan to upgrade every 2 - 3 years. secondly, you care all about battery. the 16 pro max is a couple hours different compared to the 15 pro max. don't get me wrong, the 15 pro max is still amazing, i can get probably 13+ hrs SOT with medium usage, scrolling on social media maps etc. the 16 pro max is slightly better by a couple hours. both batteries will 1000% get you through the day comfortably. thirdly, capture button. the cameras on the 16 pro max aren't as revolutionary as apple are telling you. watch some comparsions between the 15 pro max vs 16 pro max, in my opinion 15 looks slightly better if not the same, don't let them fool you. the capture button can be good for some people, but for me after testing it in the apple store when i was deciding if i sohuld upgrade its in a really weird position, its clunkly, doesn't work how i'd expect it to. it can be good if your hands are small and you need help to take vids / pics / zoom. every other iphone model kinda has the capture button already, just without the zoom. using the side buttons allows you to take videos and pics already, so its up to you and what you take from my judgement. other than that, if you don't care about these 3 features, get the 15 pro max. here is why - the phone's battery is genuienly incredible. like i said it will get you through the day with ease. cameras r essentially the same very future proof. the phone will last you 5 years + you will still get ai when its available the only downside i'd give to the 15 pro max is the thermals can be a bit off, especially on older versions. however, with ios 18.0.1, the thermals seem to have gotten better, less overheating./ the only time it ges warm for me is when im on the camera app recording 4k 60 for 5 / 10 mins at a time, but then again its not hot its just warm and not uncomfy.] Other than that, you will find a lot of good deals on the 15 PM, some phones even go for 700 from what isaw on refurbished websites. its not worth justifying a price of 200 - 500 just for a button, a slightly better battery and the same camera. if you want to genuienly save money, get the 15 pro max. both phones have the same feeling and they will give you the same experience, aside from the capture button. hope this helps :) if youy want more advice let me know

Since you mentioned a strong point about future proofing and battery capacity, I'm choosing the 16 Pro Max for that reason. I will go buy the 16 pro max 256gb 1,749 $ or the 16plus 128 gb for 1,279 or 256gb 1,429$ here in Canada .I did go to the apple store to see this two iphones and can decide as a average consumer witch phone to pick ? I have the samsung s23ultra with my carrier and in january will return my phone .I will buy my first phone and no more contract .I always want the best phone and love large screen and I loved the feel in my hand off the 16pro max . witch one to buy ?
If a better camera, and a little bit bigger screen size are important to you, I’d go with the pro max. I wouldn’t get the 128 GB phone…it’s just not enough storage and will likely fill up on you too early. If you have the extra 300 in your budget, go for the pro max!

I'm going from years of Android to iPhone. Ordered 16 PM 512 Natural because I've always had black and I have a lot of downloads from Spotify and TH-cam so I'll need more than 256. Also, I use Google One so staying away from iCloud. I've recently replaced my work laptop from Windows to Mac which is why in going for iPhone now. Just effortless.
