I think the best course for a peace treaty would be to recognize that Russia won the Eastern territory and for Ukraine to be a member of NATO. Whether anyone likes this or not I don't see how you could find a better way to bring peace, Kursk could be used as a bargaining chip to take back more Ukrainian land but not much most likely.
Ukraine did well ultimately, this is still a sign of how weak Russia is without direct ally intervention.
