And I just really wanted you to know how much the channel means to me and how great the content is. When a projetile hits a human at that volicity and that much force, a kevlar vest does no good. The ribs are broken and forced into the lungs and heart. Causing irreparable damage. In other words, the victim is dead. Even though the slugg did not penetrate the body. It's called blunt force trauma. Like getting hit by a freight train.

    I make my own soft plastic swimbaits from plastisol and while it would be expensive (but likely cheaper) I agree it would be an interesting Ballistics experiment!

      The first thing I learned was to not cook it in the house. lol It might cost half as much as clear ballistics gel if I can figure out how to cook almost 2 gallon batches of it. Bait Plastics has been pretty cooperative and has offered to send samples of all their different plastisols. If it works out, it might open up a new market for their stuff.

    Glad to hear someone finally has a clue as to what "spalling" is. The word is misused in a variety of scenarios.

    • @taofledermaus
      @taofledermaus  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So are so many misused terms. "Point-blank range" which is just using zero holdover, "electrocuted" when it was just an electric shock. etc.

    It was a setup. Jeff thought he and Greg was going to get coffee and he ended up shooting slugs. ROFL. This was awesome. I can't wait to see what's next.

    You should make a trophy 🏆 for every person that sends you a projectile, or a trophy for that year for the best projectile....food for thought.

    i developed a new super bright glow in the dark pigment at work (am a chemist) , i mixed some with glitter and epoxy and painted the back of some bullets, made some home made streak ammo, except you can see it in the day because of the glitter and 3x luminosity, i got the idea from watching your video on streak lol
