    ROS2 did not choose DDS to interoperate with non-ROS DDS devices. In fact devices that want to talk DDS with a ROS system are required to use the ROS generated messages, (without digging deep into the RCL) it is not possible to use DDS messages not specified/generated by the ROS framework from ROS.
    DDS was chosen as it was off the self, proven and fulfilled the requirements ro the communication layer, whereas ROS1 it was all built from the ground up

      Hey! Thanks, yes. I, unfortunately do not have the resources to create proper timestamps at the moment. TH-cam has automatically created the time-stamps though and that might ease the watching experience.

    Should we not learn ROS and instead go straight to learning ROS2?
