Hi Felix, that’s great feedback. Thanks for saying that. Would you mind elaborating on that a bit? I would really appreciate it, so I can get a feeling for what you’d enjoy. Especially with the new build coming up.

Great to have access to a shop like that. I put the Siebenrock kit on my R80 project and it is a huge improvement. If you go that route, consider adding their oil pan ring as well. It expands the oil capacity and allows for improved cooling. The 1000cc kit can get a bit hot. Great work on this project.

Yeah, that worked out so well. I would have been lost if Timur didn't help me. The Siebenrock kit definitely looks tempting. Thanks for the great advice!

Joshua, you continue to amaze me, you are both fearless and capable🤗. Concerning your cylinders. Wash with hot soapy water to the best of your ability, when dry take a white paper towel dipped in ATF and continue to wipe the inside of the cylinders until you see no more dark colored stain on the paper towel. then wipe clean and lightly oil for assembly. Good luck my Friend and the best of the New Year to you✨✨

Hi Mark, thanks a lot for your kind words and tips! That's also what Timur said. I spent a good while cleaning them very thoroughly. Slowly learning all these things is so interesting to me. I hope you had lovely Christmas holidays and are excited for the New Year! Any projects that you have planned?

@@MotoWrenchers You have a stupendous New Year ahead of you! My next project is 1400 watts of solar panels to install. The New Year is ripe with promise, enjoy and keep us informed of your adventure.

Nice one. Beautiful job on the valves. Glad the oil pan is coming off. There will be a fair bit of crud in there. You are probably finished with that job by now but a piece of glass with fine grit sandpaper does wonders for the sump. Brook demonstrates this wonderfully. Also no paste on gasket is necessary, if you do use one make sure it’s easy to remove in future. Look forward to seeing future vids. I just got my 100/7 on the road after a year in pieces.

Hi man! So great to hear that you got your bike back on the road. Did you already have time to enjoy it? The oil pan actually looked surprisingly well and fortunately I didn't have any stripped threads but I definitely took that to heart and it was good to check.

Good the sump was clean, that’s a good sign the bike has been maintained. I’ve had one test ride so far, clutch is slipping, will readjust and go for another ride tomorrow.

Continue to have fun with your engine rebuild ..... think I know your feeling when it comes to mechanical / engine works...... only had my start a few years earlier " tuning " a beautiful R50 S bought 69 in Hamburg. The bike had a Hoske tank and Hoske mufflers as well. Wish I has the money to keep it but she had to go in a trade in for a Norton Commando Fastback.
Those where the days -)) Have a great transition into 2025 , safe riding & Good Luck with your project !!!

If you are getting the Siebenrock oilpan ring, you should also get an oil cooler if you dont have that.
Dont move to the states, there's nothing there 😉.
Go ahead an buy an old grey Ferguson.
It's like a BMW in the motorcycle world!

Alright, I’ll keep that in mind. There is nothing there…especially no TÜV which I appreciate very much 😂

Did you address the valve stem seals at all? That’s part of my upcoming head refresh along with the Siebenrock 1000cc kit.

No, I haven't. What's your plan with that? Let me know how it goes and how the Siebenrock kit feels once installed. It's definitely tempting... :D
