I'm a Filipino who grew up with Catholic parents but as I got older I started to lean more towards Buddhism for a piece of mind. I don't follow Christianity to the T anymore but I will still attend mass and communion out of respect of my people for inviting me to church. I will be ordaining as a monk for one month in Thailand this year.

I'd say the Philippines are doing their best to follow the guidelines of the religion they adopted - similar to what I may add, all other Abrahamic religious countries out there too.
