If my 7900xtx ever dies i would love to get service done by this dude! Good job as always! also it seems AMD pcb's are sturdy as hell that it didn't had much problems even in bent state
His music choice is always perfect for this content, a good long time-lapse of a core re-ball always puts me into an afternoon nap... Simply the best 👌
Like the addition of the purrefier to workspace, they are very helpful assistants. Don't understand how that card did not have more damage, but these things happen all the time.
It's funny if you don't know what a globalist actually is ... right wing propaganda seems to have fried more brains than bad cables have fried 4090's. At least the MAGA joke was funny.
I have a 1080ti I have been saving as a remembrance token of the good old days. I am pretty sure it has memory issues and perhaps other issues... But when I stopped using it years ago... It was artifacting... Could this be a good video? I love the channel... and I would gladly donate to the cause if you could restore it to its old glory. I also have a 2070 Super that had been used heavily a few years ago and would crash and also artifact. I have been watching you for some time now... and if anyone can restore these 2 cards... it would be you. I wouldn't trust anyone else. Let me know...Hope you have a great day and I look forward to hearing from you. :)
It never ceases to amaze me how people totally screw up their hardware. I have been building and using computers for over 20 years and I have never spilled anything on my computer. Bought dodgy power supplies that fry my tech. Never bend the crap out of a PCB. Just never had hardware failures except RDIMMS. It is always RDIMMS that fail on my when I use to use workstation pcs as a daily driver. But never regular old DIMMs. Which is odd since server grade hardware is built to last longer and be more reliable. And of course hard drive failures. Wester digital never fails on me but Seagate do...and always a few months after the warranty ran out.
What is your opinion regarding the cooling solution of the 7900XT? I heard AMD put a PCM pad on the GPU and Putty-like material on the memory? Looks like a good choice but I own a XT and find the temperatures too high. Especially memory gets really hot up to 90°C in summer and GPU hot spot delta is around 20-22°C. If it gets better with good paste and pads, I would rebuild the card after the warranty period. Thanks for your excellent videos!
Dang we're they trying to use it as a jack or something for there pc 😂. But always exciting to see you fix these abused cards to new 😢 thanks for what you do
question, it looks like theres more memory pads not being utilized by this board. could you reball/solder new memory modules in there to increase the vram??
Hey, how are you doing today? I hope you are doing well. Can you tell me how can i check esd protection ic beside usb port. Because am getting Usb over current status detected.
As a material scientist who has done a few rounds in destructive testing, I know _how_ you can do that to a card, but as a PC component, How do you do that to a card that just sits in a case?! As Confucius said best, Frisbees do not a GPU make...
realistically speaking how much power will an 7900XTX consume under full load, my red devil started out stable and 2 months onwards is started consuming less and less power and artifacts even on the desktop or premier pro. The brilliant minds over at Tul RMA said it was my PSU, then declined the card... Test with a 3080 Ti and of course it worked
Amazing that the balls under the core survived that bend
Yes
Balls of steel...

you should be named GPU Hero cuz you saved so many GPUs that we thought couldn't be saved. thanks man. just love seeing you do these work.
Very nice looking cards. And a decent sized PCB. Remember the Fury? Those PCB's were tiny, the entire cards were 15% PCB, 85% cooler.

My favorite repair music on TH-cam.....
Yes, this repair has earned my subscription. You sir have crazy talent!
that gpu is going to cause some curved bullets in FPS.
What precision you have and what patience I take my hat off to you 💪🙏🎩
Seriously. Please stop treating these cards like a diving board at the local pool. This is so dishearting.

Good one Tony! And no comment about AMD being "bad" when the board/card manufacturer is to blame. 👍

amazing videos as always
loved the cat, please bring her more. W cat.
Kitty for the win 😺
Such a cute assistant! 🙂
And a great repair again.
Thank you for existing.
Looks like the owner clubbed someone to death with the card.

Excellent repair as usual, thanks for sharing with us.
Hey Tony, that was perfect analysis done.. a hole in a small component can cause power good to go power bad.. Well done!! 😄👍👍
His videos are freaking funny. Love this channel. Im learning automotive module repair. This thermal image must be my fist tool.

I heared 7000 series cards are almost always unfixable. Cannot recall why exactly... Good job!

It's almost 2 AM here too and... I'm just watching soo... Who's better? XD

You're good at this, will you drop a tutorial next time?
At some point, GPUs will need some sort of reinforced frame to negate flexing (built in)
I hope they pay well when they send badly packaged things
How do you find you video card diagrams and schematics? I need a schmatic for my zotac 1660 super twin oc so i can replace a knocked off component
What's the thickness of the pads you used to replace that hideous thermal putty?
The insect laced interlude had me dead, haha

This is sad to see as I own a 7900 XT XFX, more companies should make these massive cards come with a support bracket
