    The fact it has fold flat rear seats instead of removable ones is really good, the fact it impacts the driving position is ridiculous! Toyota managed to make fold flat rear seats in the Yaris Verso 20 years ago that didn't impact the driver at all, but 20 years later one of the most premium manufacturers can't!?

    • @nikolamladenoff3516
      @nikolamladenoff3516 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That's what you get when you use a platform from someone else and try to kit it out yourself to justify the brand and the price. Didn't they learn from their failed pickup truck attempt ? Ugh....

    • @bux834
      @bux834 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It's not ridiculous at all if you actually think for a second. As the T-Class also comes as an EV, it needs some space for the battery under the floor. Meaning that it can't lower the rear bench all that much like the Yaris Verso did.

    • @nernsteinstien
      @nernsteinstien ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you can’t drive with the seats folded it’s pointless. Same problem on the berlingo and clones. Was quite interested until I saw that. I guess it’ll be a caddy then.

    a lot of cheap plastic and a nav screen with edges from the early 2000s. Car feels very cheap for a mercedes. If you want to go cheap, why would anyone get this instead of a VW or Renault

    Seems like a reasonable utility transportation vehicle design. Are the components well made and durable?
    In the US it's price competition is the RAV4 which is a very strong competitor. The Maverick offers a different kind of utility, but at a much lower price.
    Ford and Nissan offer tiny passenger van competition, but they are so nondescript that I do not know their names.
    Not sure a low price MB product fits their marketing plan here. Can't imagine wanting to pay MB dealer prices on maintenance, warranty work and repairs.

    Limonite is very interesting...I don't exactly like it, the car in general also looks vaguely frumpy -- but Merc did quite a good job limiting that; the roof rails definitely break up the roof better...mind you, it would look better in Thomas Blue 😂

    This kind of model would be sell in indonesia. But the interior must be full leather from dashboard to seat. The engine similar to smart for4 brabus or smart for2 EQ 66kw. The seat can be 6 passenger captain seat or 2-2-3. With the cost below 30.000euro

    Dacia Jogger is made on exactly the same platform, and from the outside, there are very few differences. So is the difference in price justified?
    !,3 petrol and 1,5 diesel Probably from Renault?

    • @shroomyesc
      @shroomyesc 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is not, Dacia Jogger is on the Clio/Sandero/Logan platform (CMF-B), this is on the CMF-C/D platform shared with the Mitsubishi Outlander, Kangoo, Megane etc. What you must be thinking of is the old Dacia Dokker which was based on an old version of the Kangoo which doesn't exist anymore.

    I was really looking forward to this T-Class and was saying to the dealer in Japan if it comes out I want to be the first one to get it but it just changed my mind. Mercedes should have looked at more JDM minivan and see how Nissan, Toyota and Honda is doing to make that huge sale. I was really surprised to have to open the sliding door by hand? JDM car if you are holding a baby or stuff you can just swipe the door or swipe the under the door by foot then it will open. And from inside also just one button will get the job done. If Mercedes was thinking more of family and kids this automatic slide door is what they need. The navigation screen too small, and the 2nd seat to 1st row is so small. I really wanted it but a little dissapoinment. My brother drives V Class but very big.

    • @dorindpana3179
      @dorindpana3179 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good point! i also had huge expectations from the luxury version of the Citan, but as far as i can see, apart from some letherette and stitched foamy material, the interior definitely lacks the wow factor of the Caddy.s. Maybe, and i hope so, Ford will add a Vignale version to the new Tourneo and show MB how it has to be done! From my point of view, the Caddy Alltrack, if absurdely expensive, reamins the premium choice in the segment, with great ergo seats, digi-dashboard, all-wheel drive and so on..

  • @Sean-sx2td
    @Sean-sx2td 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Damn u guys are fast!
    Anyhow after watching the video, looks like MB will have to add some kit if they wanna sell well in certain parts of the world. Where I come from, any form of MPV must have power sliding doors and a power boot or it'll be a guaranteed sales flop especially if its a 3 pointed star vehicle. I send my kid to school in a slightly larger MPV than the T Class and those power sliding doors are a God sent feature for younger kids and my aging parents.

    I sometimes wonder how they come up with the naming. We have the B-class, small family oriented car, we also had the R-class, more of a big-size family car. I would have expected this to be named the D-class, but at the same time, it's also a bit commercial oriented vehicle, while the rest (A, B, C, E) are for mostly private use - except the taxi's. So yeah, T-class, also T being the letter preceded by the S, but ahead of the V... hmm

    So those rear folding seats are a deal breaker if you're taller than 1.6m. What's the point of having a big car if you can't drive it when you load it up.
    And then the engine options are so lame I can't even understand. Might as well get the Kangoo for 10k less. It's like they're not even trying and then they say "everyone wants an SUV today".

    I cant see such cars as family cars. Its a transporter. I've always seen the E-class as a family car. Especially as an estate. If they want to improve on that with more space then make the R-class again.
    Is this even a Mercedes to begin with or just a rebranded Renault or something? MB has done nothing more than diluting their brand in recent decades. Not going to pay off in the long run.

    I have been a Taxi Driver in Germany for 20 years, for 15 years I have only driven Mercedes cars and vans as I am self-employed and the only driver.
    The biggest mystery of all is why the back passenger seats are so small and the boots so big, this the same as the E-Class and normal S-Class, I drove a Long Version of the S-Class as a Taxi for 8 years, but would never bother with the E-Class as the rear seats are just too small.
    I am doomed to buy and convert Long Version S-Class vehicles just to get a usable Taxi big enough for 4 Adults and comfortable enough for long journeys?
    But the the S-Class Boot is not big enough for their wallets, let alone 4 big suitcaes, no chance, so a Viano with seats facing each other it must be??
    Mercedes wants the T-Class to be the new Taxi, they are just taking the PISS!
    Mercedes makes a Long version of the E-Class for Asia, why not in Europe where young children are getting bigger and bigger, nobody needs the huge loading space, we need more room for rear seat passangers, it is not Rocket Science?
    I now drive a Mercedes Viano as a Taxi, the new vehicles have Renault Engines, I am not prepared to pay so such money for a F******* Renault!
    As for this T-Class, it is not something I would buy as a Taxi, until maybe I can see a long version with more space for passengers, even the bloody Skoda has more legroom!
    Mercedes are dumbing down with Renault engines replacing Mercedes.
    But, I would prefer a used Mercedes to a new anything else, they run forever, whether the new T-Class takes this on, I very much doubt it!
    Tip, look under a Mercedes and see the solid construction and suspension, look under a VW Caddy and you´ll never trust your family in one, the suspension looks like a child´s Buggy Spings!
    Come on Mercedes more legroom needed!

      It's not even the renault engines, it's the same nissan engines they put into Dacia. And on top, they're all incredibly weak for such a big car. You load this thing up with family and luggage, and you'll kill it on a mountain road.
