"Cunningham, with that Howdy Doody face you can only be so tough". LOL. I remember watching this episode and it made a huge impact and was funny as heck.
That was very bad advice. When Richie was at Arnold's about to fight, this is what Fonzie said, "Okay, I left out a little detail. You have no reputation for toughness. They would have to see you hit somebody at least once." Then Richie said, "Fonzie, that was not good information to leave out."
How do you know he couldn’t fight? He couldn’t ride a motorcycle. That was sad. The show couldn’t take a week to teach him in private lessons how to ride a motorcycle when he was explaining it he said I tried to start with the thingamabob here and the other thing there. He didn’t even know the gears. He broke a lot of kids hearts by saying that. They mounted the motorcycle to a giant piece of plywood or some thing and drove him around. I think it would’ve been so much easier to just give him lessons by a professional rider. Evel Knievel was big at the time lol. Maybe he could’ve did it? Henry Winkler says he was dyslexic but that’s BS. He was dyslexic but if you can water ski, you can learn to ride a motorcycle! And it wasn’t even a Harley! They told him how to play softball they could’ve taught him how to ride.
The Fonz had a very cool attitude! The only thing was Henry Winkler, broke a lot of kids hearts by saying that he couldn’t ride a motorcycle. He didn’t even know the gears He said the thingamabob by my foot. And the other gizmo that you turn! they nailed it to a wooden plank or something, and dragged the motorcycle around while he sat on it. Geez, they could’ve taken a week off. And got a great instructor to teach him to ride a Harley.or it wasn’t even a Harley.OMG not Cool! maybe they could of gotten Evel Knievel. Now he was Cool.
First series he had a Harley knuckle head..but it’s a heavy bike…2nd series onwards they changed it to the triumph trophy (Brando from “the wild one” rode a triumph) with the silver tank..much lighter to put on the trailer..heard he couldn’t ride, but in saying that there are a couple of scenes of him pulling into Arnold’s and Cunningham’s driveway so he must of known something…he just wasn’t a bike fan…(they also wouldn’t let him wear a black leather jacket , had to be brown 😂)

"Count one Mississippi..." the Fonz is always the best with his girls!
