Hi, I don't understand why there is no oring behind the guage threats. If there is one, wouldn't it protect the swivel beter?

The gas doesn't reach the threads when a swivel is in place, the gas flows through the swivel. An extra O-ring wouldn't serve any purpose as the nut on the hose isn't sealed neither.
If you were to fit the gauge directly to a 1st stage port then you would need an O-Ring by the threads.

@@ScubaDiverMagazine It makes a lot of sense. Thank you.

Great video, thanks Mark. One question: you show the compass on the same hand as your computer. Does that not cause issues with interference as you mentioned earlier?

It can if it's very close, I normally keep it on the other hand for that reason

I don't use spg anymore. I have a perdix 2ti and a transmitter. So reliable that I don't need the one hose with the spg.
What is your opinion on this topic?

I also use Perdix Ai, but also use mechanical SPG for redundancy. I would not rely on electronics alone at 40m depth with deco obligation.

Better safe than sorry, I have a Teric with transmitter, but would never disconnect my finimeter. Safety first, always.

I run the smallest gauge I could get on a hose shorter than my inflator, used a bit of heat shrink tubing to hold the hoses tight against each other, so it doesn't seem like anything extra or flop around but I do have that convenience when needed

@@vaidas777 do you use a mechanical depth gauge as well?

I'm fine with just a transmitter. I try to keep a log of roughly how many hours it's been running so I know when to change the battery

If you can't read the gauges get out of the water.
