We see a lot of abandoned building videos / presenters who fake the paranormal! I can honestly say your reaction and your gut instinct was spot on it would be a cool video if you went back with others and investigate more such a nice mansion but definitely creepy. Great video
Although the window was open at the top it actually really looked like someone ramming it shut as the door resting position seemed to be ajar. Funny cause you kept on thinking you heard things throughout the whole video and then felt spooked in that part of the chateau. I think that part would have been the servant quarters as it had a back staircase and not as ornate. Very brave exploring on your own! Great content.
As you turned your camera after the door slammed - the door was moving back and forth - not how wind blows a door - very eerie - well scary! Before you said anything I had a creepy feeling about that place downstairs, as well as upstairs especially - got the sense the people were dabbling in "magik". Often dangerous as doors don't get closed properly when people dabble.
This was a very interesting explore. I loved the walled off section, that was so very cool. But I understand your trepidation. Not all buildings want to be looked into and some actively force you out. . This house seems to have at least three layers of human habitation. The original old things from so long ago, the newer things, especially the office equipment. There was even a flat screen monitor and those aren't all that old. The first floor looks like someone else came in and decorated for a Halloween party. They just chucked stuff into the other rooms and even maybe outside. It doesn't appear like that really came off though. It looks like people left with things only half done. Maybe the house did not approve.

My first thought was... Photography or movie set. Someone has come into this house and chosen to set items like the dolls and the hands and legs to dress the set. Maybe someone has seen this video and can tell you what happened here. Crazy cool stuff!!
this house has great bones,its still fixable. Love the bathroom with the corner tub & all the tall windows. The stair case that has a wall by it is just the stupidity of somebody who got tired of taking care of & fixing the house . They just walled off what they didn't want to be bothered with. Spiral stair case is beautiful & fun. Love the outside too with all it's brick. Fun but kinda quirky. Very enjoyable
If you were offered the opportunity to live for free with it renovated. Would you move in. With the same belongings? I'm one brave chic. And being born Halloween eve. I just happen to love spooky things. But there would be no way I'd move into that place. That door slamming slamming with such an angry force, tells me there is something or things in there that want to be left alone. Had it been a breezy day ( no movement of the trees as being viewd from those small windows. Not even a windy day would have slammed it with such anger and then again as if saying "Do you get my point, stay away". This place was the best and the worst at the same time.
That was so creepy 😳 It might have been squatters maybe? You did hear noises early on. You were very brave going in there , I would have needed to change my shorts after that experience. Keep those videos coming 😁

Looks like half of the house was a separate flat for someone which is why it seems so different to the first part of the house. It’d also explain the wall across the upper staircase. One of my customers in a Hall has sectioned part of the house off they don’t use anymore and rent it out.

THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY ENJOYABLE and FASCINATING ~ looks to me as if they bit off more than they could chew ~ ( financially speaking ) unless I missed it I wondering when they left and definitely assuming it HAD to do with lack of resources ( MONEY ) I sorta think they were living in that fashion at nearing the end of there stay ( junky ) could there have been someone there that designed something not sure what … I know you don’t care to divulge personal information but perhaps you can look at papers to figure out occupations that affords the spaces they live in … I‘m not a fan of heights and I felt it when you stuck the camera out the window… And MAN THAT WAS ( REAL ) SCARY when that door kept SLAMMING 😨 I would have BOLTED out of there JUST AS YOU DID. ! BEST EXPLORE I’ve seen in a WHILE
Oh I forgot to mention for a change there was ACTUAL COLOR on the WALLS most often they either have drab white walls or just wall paper which can be ok but seeing vivid paint colors is MUCH BETTER !

That’s what happens when you try to go it alone into big creepy chateaus you end up scaring yourself out of there when you had only done about half of the place.
This was a very weird home and and it was like someone closed the door. Very glad you got out of there although I wish you had gone down the spiral staircase. Be safe that place was spooky.
I have a feeling that some locals decided to have a Halloween party in the old "Haunted Mansion", then found out real quickly that sometimes, unexplained things happen. Unexplained like creepy feelings that hit you suddenly, followed by doors slamming on their own. Looks like they left as quickly as you!
To be honest that area was extremely unsettling because it was so damn different to the rest of the house. Literally blocked off!The doors, the design, the decor like the wing got done up as it was more modern than many areas and then house atmosphere forced them out. The door slammed shut. It opened with force then slammed shut with force. You were high up, windows in that room were open and missing glass and there was a breeze.... But a breeze doesn't act like that and surely if it were a breeze slamming the door you'd have heard it before. That was creepy as *fuck…!* I'm thinking maybe the house has a ghost story to it or at least is known to be creepy by folklore/urban legend alone for the area so I'm guessing someone held a Halloween party there. On a completely different note, you wondered about the curtains downstairs over the doorways. I've used curtains over doors and doorways as draught excluders when I lived in draughty cottages and a freezing caravan over the years. I actually have one on my garage door for when I'm working out there. Those doorways were Enormous and custom doors would cost a fortune, curtains or material considerably less. Plus they're great to hide the chaos behind 😉😊 Cracking video mate, but fuck me that was terrifying at the end 😯🚪💨🤔👻❤️

I can't imagine there being an ice cream van in the middle of nowhere anyway and with all that land round it too. I'm glad you got the door on film as that was epic. It looks to me that the house was divided up as if that top section was closed off for a reason ? Mind you your very brave going by yourself as I would'nt. All the best. 🍻👍

As with a previous explore , could this abandoned chateau been used as a backdrop for a film as well????? Certainly some of the artifacts left are of a "theme" and out of keeping with the rest of the building. Just a thought. Great explore.
Interesting house ^_^ i liked the dolls but when ever there is a section blocked off dark secrets are inside mind being a Halloween prop on the top of stairs maybe that door was a prop that activates from a sensor pad it looked more mechanical than someone slamming it, would be worth going back with a group of you if you plan too ^_^

Once a beautiful home but something is definitely "off." Things look as though a family had hope but it was beyond their financial means. But when you went to the stairs walled off from the rest of the house....I feel as though they had a child hidden away due to mental issues or something horrific like that. And the door slamming!? They were telling you to go. I believe the place is haunted. Glad you made it out!

Second space was servants quarters - spiral staircase for quick access to all floors from kitchens in basement.
