    • @Damonnanashi

      My uncle's got a huge hole in his calf from a brown recluse. Apparently, if he'd taken too much longer to get to the hospital, he was gonna need an amputation.

    • @luger9857
      @luger9857 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I got bit multiple time by one when I liked in kansas. I woke up with like 7 bites all over my arms and legs. I found a brown recluse later that day in my room and then to the hospital the next day. They gave me an antibacterial. The bites never bothers me until I used hot water to wash. At that point they grew twice there size I didn't know why at first so next time I showed they got even more inflamed growing even bigger and more red. So if you ever get bit by one don't take hot showers, baths, no hot tubs and don't expose the bite to any thing to rase it's tempiture much. Even with the mess doc gave me the hot water made the bite worse.

    • @unstopable_rob
      @unstopable_rob หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @luger9857 yeah as I said with brown recluse spiders the venom rarely kills you, 99.9% of deaths are from the bite getting infected

    Living in the Southwest, I've been bitten by a black widow. It just felt like a pinprick. The spot was red for about an hour and then it faded away. The brand new garage I had probably had at least a hundred of them but being out near a cow farm, there were thousands of flies and these girls helped keep my fly population down. Also, a tarantula hawk landed in the grass one day. Was watering the car and this giant sucker was very preoccupied so I threw a wet towel over it and stomped on it for a good 5 minutes. After lifting the towel, I picked up one of its legs and showed my brother. It was the size of a grasshopper leg but black. I love tarantulas and they sometimes clumsily crawl around on the rocks outside my home, and so I couldn't let this opportunity to help these creatures in some small way against such a ferocious and nasty beast.

    You showed the centipedes modified back legs, not the pincers,
    the back legs look like that to mimic the head for self defence so centipedes could deliver a counter attack with their fangs that are located on its head and those fangs are also guarding 2 sets of mandibles and the teeth like structures called the coxosternal teeth the main differences between centipedes are the colors and size but millipedes are much more diverse when it comes to body types and specified aspects of a species.
    Overall i like this video just wanted to point this out because i love centipedes (this isnt an angry comment its more of a neurodivergent fact check).

    The velvet ant is wayyyy played up. I literally have 6 velvet ants in a tank in my living room. They are unbelievably docile and adverse to stinging, and the pain is 100% bad, maybe 60x a bee sting, it doesn't happen unless stepped on with bare feet or pinch hard between the fingers.

    Last week I found a scorpion in my garden, I used half a bottle to get it out, but now I realized what kind of scorpion it was and how close to being killed by it.

    i live on an island and there are assassin bugs all over the place. We call them love bugs because you usually find them attracted to another assassin bug and as children we always picked them up and nobody has ever been bit.

    Hawk wasps have orangish red wings with blue black bodies, and the act like there are on crack, they have very hyperactive erratic movements on the rare occasion that you find them walking on the ground, of they fly over your head the sound like a helicopter and getting stung feels like death

    Didn’t know the things were called “cow killers.” They’re nearly impossible to kill with your shoe and they pack a punch. I’ve only tried to pick one up twice. The first one was when I flipped it around in my fingers and it’s stinger was hitting my fingernail and the second was when I wasn’t so lucky. I don’t mess with them anymore.
