CONNIE FRANCIS has one of the greatest voices ever. I KNOW HER MUSIC AND THIS WOMAN CAN SING ANYTHING. LOVE HER VOICE Listen to TAMMY and LIPSTICK ON YOUR COLLAR., it's fun too.
Such a beautiful woman with an absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous voice. Connie Francis has come through some very sad and traumatizing events in her life. My favorite songs are "My Happiness" and "Whos Sorry Now" "Don't Break the Heart that Loves You" and of course the one you just listened to "Where the Boys Are"
What a superb choice, from 1960! You two have just been blessed again with hearing one of the finest female voices in music history. She was also one of the best selling artists of all time, with numerous #1 hits. (See listings in the other comments; plus her Country style US Billboard #1 ballad, "My Heart has A Mind Of its Own") I predict that Mel will be signing this one in the shower later.
What a voice Connie Francis has! She had a lot of wonderful hits. I especially have fond memories of Lipstick on Your Collar because I was so young when it was released that I had to ask my Mom why lipstick on someone's collar was a problem. Now I can't imagine being that naive. LOL I like what you said about feeling as if you were in a daydream. That's exactly right; that's how she makes you feel. Singer Chris Isaak said a few years ago that he took his Mom to see Connie Francis and it was great. I'd love to see her live. That voice! I know I already said that, but it's exceptional. She did a gorgeous version of Senza Mamma from the opera Suor Angelica that you might want to check out. Not many pop singers do opera, but Connie Francis did.
When I was a young girl I watched every movie Connie Francis was in! I always thought she was the most beautiful woman and best singer that I had ever seen or heard! She always had so much class! Thank you so much for the reaction to her!
Connie Francis was very popular in the late 50’s - 60’s ! I remember my older brother had an album of hers & we knew all the songs 💓 ‘Who’s Sorry Now’ in another of her big hits💜🇨🇦☮️
Love Connie. She was built like a brick house and her voice was smooth as silk, even in old age. She also had a great sense of humor and entertained the troops at times. You have to watch the old movie “Where the Boys Are”.
Absolutely! She was a funny little fireball in that one and had a lot of "presence" in her very small role. It's one of my favorite beach movies because it included a cautionary tale in with some of the goofiness and her fun songs.
you have too look into her 3000 song catalogue and in 15 languages [still a record]. Give these to start off with IT WOULD STILL BE WORTH IT, BORN FREE, THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM,
As soon as she started singing, I broke out in tears. This song brings back so many memories when I was a teen. My summer romances. We had a summer home on a river. It was private and we had dances every night but Sunday. I had the same boyfriend for two summers. It was beautiful.

Very gifted Italian American artist. One of my dads favorite female artist. She had a hard life. Connie was raped and this affected her until her dying day I love watching you guys. One of my favorite couples in TH-cam.
I absolutely LOVE the fact that you two are listening to some of the older music because not a whole lot of other reactors are diving back so far. Or they only go back with certain artists. You guys have done so many different artists way back in the day like Connie. Good for you! Connie really had one of the BEST voices back then. She was quite popular and is still alive today. I believe she's Italian and can sing in multiple languages. Sadly she had tragedy happen to her in 1974 which took her out of the spotlight due to the trauma of the incident. Then, she underwent nasal surgery in 1977 which caused her to lose her voice. She gained some of it back but lost most of its strength. Nonetheless, it's always great to hear that amazing voice from these early recordings!
Watch the movie by the same name from 1960's, you will enjoy it. My sister looked almost like Connie. God bless both of the ladies. RIP CONNIE and NORMA.
This has been a favorite since Mom first played it in 1960, I was three and Mom told me I would put down my toys and follow the piano for this song, I still have that talent and am amazed at Connie's Voice, this song was written by Howard Greenfield and Neil Sedaka at the Brill building in New York City! Might want to try Goodnight My Love by Paul Anka!!
Gorgeous Connie! Okay, you two- BetteMidler - actress, comedian and singer! From A Distance; The Wind Beneath My Wings ( especially her NYC live performance of this right after 9/11); The Rose; Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.
This song really moves me I mean the ending is the best line she produce and the startin line of song all in all a great wer the boys are there is sumine one out there for her

@@conniefrancis4743 I love your voice. My dad was the one who got me to appreciate all your talent. I hate everything that you had to go through but love the grace and strength that you had to find yourself again. I had to learn the same thing. Many blessings to you always.
So true. I love her voice so much. My dad used to always say she had the voice of an angel.
So true my parents are Italian immigrants, Connie Francis was beloved by my hole family. Connie was married to a mobster, in the mafia. Her husband was extremely, physically and mentally abusive. I agree she had a hard life. Her beautiful music, is what got thru these difficult trying times. A beautiful sweet Italian lady. Still love listening to her music. 61 years old.

Great reaction! You guys need to check out her song, “Everybody’s Somebody’s Fool!” It’s one of my favorites!

I love your feedback on old music, it’s a pleasure to be on your channel. Connie Francis has a beautiful voice.
There was a teen movie by the same name.. that’s where this great song came from
Also do her song Lip stick on your collar which was a fun one!!!
I loved that movie as a kid...i thought that was what my older life would look like...haha
AND Connie was IN the movie "WHERE THE BOYS ARE"
She was the no.1 female singer late 50s - that was a movie too
Breaking In A Brand New Broken Heart, Someone Else’s Boy, Who’s Sorry Now, epic and legendary by this lovely lady.
Connie has the most Beautiful Voice of anyone she never recorded a Bad song a true talent
This was way back before auto-tune, when singers had deep singing talents and naturally beautiful voices. Love the range of genres you cover.
CONNIE FRANCIS has one of the greatest voices ever. I KNOW HER MUSIC AND THIS WOMAN CAN SING ANYTHING. LOVE HER VOICE Listen to TAMMY and LIPSTICK ON YOUR COLLAR., it's fun too.
She was great. I still got her album. 😊
Such a beautiful woman with an absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous voice. Connie Francis has come through some very sad and traumatizing events in her life.
My favorite songs are "My Happiness" and "Whos Sorry Now"
"Don't Break the Heart that Loves You" and of course the one you just listened to "Where the Boys Are"
Connie also recorded some songs with a 14 year old Hank Williams Jr. One of the songs was Send me the pillow that you dream on. Check it out!
Her singing voice and face are quite delightful! Adorable!
You just don't hear anything like that now a days and it is a pity, love songs from the past are the best. 😊❤👍👍
When I was a young girl I watched every movie Connie Francis was in! I always thought she was the most beautiful woman and best singer that I had ever seen or heard! She always had so much class! Thank you so much for the reaction to her!
Take a listen to another soundtrack to another one of Connie's movies, 'Follow The Boys'. This song shows Connie's great high Fidelity voice!
You should listen to her Italian songs. Gorgeous!
I want to walk on the beach and sing this and hug myself! Thanks
You have to watch the old movie “Where the Boys Are”.
that movie is an ICONIC CLASSIC
Absolutely! She was a funny little fireball in that one and had a lot of "presence" in her very small role. It's one of my favorite beach movies because it included a cautionary tale in with some of the goofiness and her fun songs.
Connie Francis !!! Yay and thank you! . Did you react to stupid cupid? And Lipstick on your collar
My Happiness? And my special favorite, Frankie!!!
Connie Francis, a lady with a beautiful voice who had many hit songs, starting with Who's Sorry Now."
My childhood Idol! She's the best.
Such an angelic voice. What else can one say?
I was about 13 when Connie was who everyone wanted to be her 👵👵👍👍❤️
Theses oldies are perfect for dancing.
I don’t recall ever hearing of Connie Francis until I saw her on your channel. Now I feel like I need to look into her music. Such a great voice.
It always surprises me when someone says he/she never heard of her as she was just as big as Elvis throughout the world.
you have too look into her 3000 song catalogue and in 15 languages [still a record]. Give these to start off with IT WOULD STILL BE WORTH IT, BORN FREE, THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM,
Shawn and Mel, "Frankie" another Connie "Gem."
Listened to her every Saturday while my mother cleaned..
As soon as she started singing, I broke out in tears. This song brings back so many memories when I was a teen. My summer romances. We had a summer home on a river. It was private and we had dances every night but Sunday. I had the same boyfriend for two summers. It was beautiful.
Thank you for this ! Connie Francis had one of the purest voices I’ve ever heard. Truly beautiful song too , my favorite CF song . Y’all take care

Very gifted Italian American artist.
One of my dads favorite female artist. She had a hard life. Connie was raped and this affected her until her dying day
I love watching you guys. One of my favorite couples in TH-cam.
Connie is still alive.
This was our music. Slow dancing at a sock hop in the gym. Will there ever be another time like that again.
Oh how I love this song and the movie it came from. She is a musical treasure.
I have watched that Movie a million times and listened to this song twice as many times! Takes me back to being young again! Gotta go get tissues now!
This song really moves me I mean the ending is the best line she produce and the startin line of song all in all a great wer the boys are there is sumine one out there for her
Not many sing the beginning of this song well...and that middle held note slide!
She was amazing. One could not wait for her next record. You really could not get enough of it.
Connie had some monster hits back in the day. Love your channel because your reactions are so great and you’re open to all music genres. Keep up the great reactions. Oh BTW if you want to hear a great romantic song from the doo wop era, please give a listen to Jesse Belvin and “Goodnight My Love”. You won’t be sorry. Thanks.

That song was from the movie by the same name filmed in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1963 about the beginning of "Spring Break" !! I was 15 yo and watched it being filmed just hoping I would see Connie !! I LOVED HER !! Love you guys too !! One more verse and chorus and I think Shawn would start tearing up !!
She was born, Constanza Franconero, in NJ. She became THE #1 female voice of the late 50's, & the 60's. No one else, even came close. This song, written by Neil Sedaka & Howard Greenfield, for the '61 film, of the same title. Connie actually had a small role. ----------MJL, 75 y/o.
She also played in the Movie of "Where the Boys Are" about college kids going on Spring break in Florida and all the same controversy we are experiencing today.

Always loved her. Sense fina is her very best
Bringing back those feelings of being alone but in love anyway!
this was our music in the 1950s and 1960s some great music.
Love love love this. We were so innocent and loved our hunny bunnies.
They didn't call her America's Sweetheart for nothing.....
A living Legend, and sooo worth the time to visit her talent.
Thank you :)

Gosh, she had a super voice!
My dad used to play her. Her voice is divine all my itself!
In the song, "Al Di La" she sings the verses in english and Italian. She does a fantastic job on this song! Try it, you'll like it!
I was 7 years old when this song came out.
If you've heard the song American Pie, the line that says, "When the jester sang for the king and queen", she was considered the queen.
Those were the songs. Sing about love and emotions in such a nice and relaxing way. Makes you want to hold your special someone and appreciate the moment. Great reaction.

SHE WAS SOOOOOO SMOOOOTH
This was a great movie. Several up and coming actors.
golly what a beautiful voice !!.. from the movie of the same title... many wonderful songs, plus her tribute to JFK -- The Summer of His years..
This song and movie by the same name actually put "Fort Lauderdale Florida" on the map as forever being the Mecca for spring break. Since 1960 when this song came out. Fort Lauderdale was known as a sleepy little town. Today is a bursting metropolis with beautiful Water Canals full of yachts and boats with gorgeous houses and scenery. That was the impact of this song and movie by the same name. "Where The Boys Are." Brilliant!
You must do her version of "Never On Sunday." I know you will love it.
Please react to her song "LIPSTICK on YOUR COLLAR" I love that one, it's upbeat and cute.
We just watched Where The Boys Are two nights ago. When my mother in law was young she looked like Miss Francis.’s twin, she was beautiful
God bless you both - she's is a dream come true, thank you for introducing her legacy to the 21st century. Dude your joy is contagious, she had you as soon as the song started!
With this song and the movie of the same name, she was responsible for popularizing Spring Break. Fort Lauderdale was never the same after this song and movie. She is honored in that city.
This is my favorite song to sing along to in the car.
Holy ----'! I never heard this b4, and I'm stunned!!! Luv it
Where has this track been hiding !!!!!!!!
What a wonderful, beautiful voice 💓 so glad you guys feel the music!

Connie Francis had Italian ancestry & was popular in the late fifties/early sixties!!
