First off I accidentally cut off the end of the video, but I was just closing it out anyway. Sorry about that.
I was asked if I could explain weapon and shield upgrades at the Forge Shop. First off you have to be in New Game+ before you can upgrade weapons at all. In Easy or Normal mode you can only upgrade the first 2 tiers. In Hard mode you gain access to the materials for the third tier. In the video I don't show this, but you can actually add materials to all of the upgradable attributes before hitting upgrade.

I just started my new game+ and I went straight to the Forge as soon as I was able. I want to upgrade my Chaos Revenge and Buster Sword but it won't let me upgrade any parameters for those weapons.
Sounds like you don't have any upgrade parts. You need to find or buy them. The guy that sells you monster information sells the upgrade parts if I remember correctly.
Yeah I bought the parts from him. When I look at necessary components it's 0/99
Press the directional up and down to select the part you want to upgrade, and then press right I think to add to it. Press X or A to comfirm and circle or B or back out. it's been a while since I messed with it so I can't remember exactly which button it is.
About achievement need upgrade all weapon and shield?
Honestly, it's been so long since I played this I don't remember much about it at all. You'd be better off going to one of the trophy tracking websites, playstationtrophies.org and psnprofiles.com, and see if they have guides.
I don't have the option of upgrading for some reason. about to beat the game on normal.
You have to be in at least New Game + to get the upgrade menu.

do you have to go to the adventuring essentials shop to get the third tier components, or some other shop?
You get them from killing specific enemies if I remember correctly. I know it needs to be done in NG+, but I don't remember if difficulty has anything to do with it.
im in new game+ and i went to the forge and it doesnt give me the option to upgrade help please!
If you haven't already buy upgrade materials from the guy in town that sales monster data. I don't remember what they are called.

I don't think that you do, but I never went to the forge without materials in NG+. I'm not sure what would cause that.

i was hoping to use the crystal of atonement to go to ng+ and get stronger but obviously it didnt work lol.
i dont get the option to upgrade how far into new game plus do i have to be?
u need to finish the game at least 1 time, in any mode u choose
