It seems fairly straight forward. I.E. A simplified view would be - The window to purchase these things is small. The window that demand exists, is potentially quite large (50 years from now people might want to open packs from when they were kids). Rudy is covering that gap. So his major risks would likely be cost to store, damage over long periods of time, demand over time, inflation, and opportunity costs/personal labor. That said i can't think of any similar business. Almost all businesses want to cycle product faster and faster. Probably Wine/aged alcohol products have a similar model. Assuming i understand it correctly.
So far, I say you are a little wrong ! 1st , Rudy has still ( to this date ) a local Shop with affinities to TCG ( I don´t know more about the exact nature of this shop, 2nd he has his patreon/ client system working ( patreons pay a fee and get access to box-offers for better conditions / USA only ) 3rd he do this for Magic, Pokemon, ex Metazoo, Flesh&blood, and other ones ( not for all, but i can´t say exactly for which ones, never see him talking more about Star Wars or some minor card games ) 4th he has his ´Rudy positions´ charges he bought for himself ( diverts also into other stuff like ´Lego´ . So 5th what you see in the video is something of Leftovers, that his patreons don´t want to buy. So i would say holding boxes back for selling them in future, isn´t his ´buiseness´ , it´s more the consequenses of decisions and the ability, not to be forced to sell/ dumb products out under any condition. ! BUT , I´m NOT Rudy, so mayby this explanation is nothing like bullshit and weary dreams !!
That secret Pokémon item is the *Pokémon TCG Classic*. Sadly, being so expensive, it is not super sought after and the prices are well under MSRP because of its niche.

Those pokemon boxes with no labels are Pokemon Classic collection boxes that were shown at the start of the video. They are called black bricks. The reason for that is that people thought they would be golden bricks, but they struck coal instead.
Magic secret to making money on collectibles --- hoard products for 10+ years to hike up prices then dump it when supply declines Rudy, you're a genius!
You forgot that he also pumps and dumps crap product on those people stupid enough to take him seriously. Funny story: I saw a guy in an Alpha Investments t-shirt running an indoor vendor booth at a flea market recently. He has been open for a few months and is selling product at over MSRP for current Pokemon, Magic, Lorcana and SWU. This makes it obvious that he doesn't work with distributors to buy product at wholesale prices. Needless to say, he hasn't moved much product at all since opening at the beginning of this year. For my entertainment, I asked him recently what his best price was on a mostly full box of Star Wars Unlimited. He knows that the set is about to be reprinted and should be readily available at MSRP soon. He said he can't do better than $12 per pack because he way over payed for it. No thought to even recoup some of his money while pissing away hundreds of dollars a month to rent the vendor space. I thought to myself that this must be the average Rudy follower.
totally agree with what ur saying its like anything in business the higher you climb the less you want to do yourself wholesale distribution at its finest you cant lose with pokemon as long as you buy on pre release never seen prices go down after a release 🤷🏻♂️
Rudy is stunting on all of us so hard in this video. Lol I love it. It's motivation for someone to pass him but never entertain to a level Rudy did for us. He blesses us day after day for literally free. Work hard. Work towards financial stability.. Get your credit up there to cash back purchases. U max them cards baby. Lol jk on that Stay the course. Just keep working hard to invest more. Diversify. Enjoy life. It's that easy. To live a better life, retire comfortably or possibly get rich one day. It's free. Great motivation and reminding us just chill take it easy think and don't be reckless. . No one else is for the ppl line that. This video is fricking GOLD,thanks Rudy keep traching us please I alwais buy 2 or 3 box of every Pokemon set,not much but it is the best i can do and i'm very happy with it!
the problem with card investments is that its built on mostly nostalgia, which fades over time. I guess the best u can do today is to check whats popular with kids today and buy that

He's living his life and hopefully enjoying every minute of it. I love everything he puts out, and I've learned a TON from him over the years. I'm happy to be on his patreon. ❤
I finally get to watch this. The thing about Pokemon is when it goes in a new era, most people are still stuck in the past era. Pokemon seems to go all out near the middle/end of each era. So when a new era comes out, a lot of new sets get overlooked. It seems people only want things when prices go up. I think it's safe to say there isn't another Rudy with that kind of hoard of boxes. Very impressive.
_Florida Man Undergoes Lysergic Experience in Warehouse-It's Like a Kubrick Movie, Except Instead of Traveling Through Rapidly Swooshing Stars, It's Endless Walls of Luxury Cardboard_
I never was invested in a card game, but I was buying a comparatively large amount of Riptide Surfshop Stickers from CS2, back then still CSGO. There were quite a few people who bought stickers for investment purposes, but not a lot who did it on a larger scale. I remember talking about market pricing and sales quantity with another invested individual. Together we hat about 4x the quantity of stickers listed on SCM at that time. After we both dumped on a bot trader prices for that specific collection dropped fast. Market manipulation is not the norm, but it is definitely feasable in a collectors market imo...
It’s actually sickening how right u are. Lost origin, silver tempest, FS, EV, all of those will literally be 5-$600 minimum in 5yrs... its so obvious you’ll be naive to argue tbh... seriously congrats u have the capital to do this & did it
Dude that’s why I stopped listening to stupid people. Unfortunately people get jealous and upset when they see someone who has more than them. I have seen trends come and go but when Pokémon is the TOP DOG! It’s too big to fail.
That is a maze not a warehouse and i love every second of it i want to get lost in there so much! Also these video alwais remind me of the tv serie THE WAREHOUSE,anyone else? Cool show i loved it
Thanks for explaining, in general, how your operation works and how it is not what people think AND that you haven't found another Rudy. I've always wondered about that. Like...how many Rudys are there? Apparently none. Which makes sense, considering the biz model.
I’ve always wondered with this much product and being in a tropical climate the amount of attention that’s put into pest management. Those pallets sure looks like a tasty snack for silverfish and termites.
Yea the average Timmy dosnt understand investment strategy. Looks like a nice investment you have there. Would love to see the MTG boxes you keep in the dungeon.
He’s right. I’m holding one case of Pokémon from a few years back. But then again, if hundreds of people like me exist, then number of holders could maybe match him though.
