I’m yet to do my first paludarium and not much explanation of how water comes to the pump/filter chamber. Do you leave enough space between stones so water can go through the mesh?
I’m just thinking if the situation when water out is going to outperform water in if it makes senss

Hi I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I know that it is all very sped up so it may be hard to fully understand everything.
But basically yes, I did not use any foam to fill in the gaps between the stones around the area where the mesh is (00:31) (You can also still slightly see the mesh / polyboard at 2:36). You can also see at 01:51 that I left a small "filter" section between the two mesh walls, which I also filled with stone. Water can freely flow through the stones/mesh into the pump section.
Even with the pump on maximum setting, the water was still easily flowing through fast enough that the pump didn't run dry.
