Good video! However, it doesn't actually explain how lung hypoxaemia causes pulmonary hypertension, unlike the osmosis video on Cor Pulmonale.
For those curious, Pulmonary hypertension comes about because vessels supplying hypoxic alveoli vasoconstrict. If a lot of the alveoli in the lungs are hypoxic, then a lot of the vessels will vasocontrict. All of the blood flow that isn't going to pulmonary arterioles 'builds up' in the pulmonary circulation, increasing the blood pressure.

So, from my understanding this can also be caused by obesity. If weight is loss is there possibly a chance this condition can reverse? I know someone suffering from this and it's causes severe edema in his lower extremities. But he's having issues with both legs now... CVI is a possibility & Lymphedema is confirmed. It's just so much fluid where he is changing his pads every few hours not to mention the ulcers. This is such a horrible disorder.
