I think this is the best Wu album in instrumental production, its even hard to describe the whole feeling of the album its like Rza put some magic in horrorcore and let Method man dance with, not the best lyrics of him but as I say I cant think of much albums that has this whole package feeling, maybe Temple of Boom also matches this dark scene
When i first heard mr sandman i didnt know it was a track from method man's album i heard the whole album later and i didn't know streetlife and carlton fisk so i really thought it was a gravediggaz song with wu tang members
I remember back in the days I used to use the intro of this Lp to wake up in the morning...back spin it a couple of times record in to a tape ...play it loud...there is a darkside and tical ..two awesome Lps to get smoked out and write on your blackbook ... while waiting for the nite time to go battle rapping ..R.i.p Phife Dawg
Marcos Aruca RZA had a flood that destroyed the equipment he had with all of his early wu tang beats. Rza lost like 300 beats. Inspectah Deck’s first album was lost ambrosiaforheads.com/2018/10/rza-wu-tang-clan-lost-albums/
Had this on cassette and was pleased by the beat selection! Now I can enjoy the samples! I can’t explain how much I love these posts! It’s a cheat code to let us know the originals but I’m very appreciative. Thank you sir!
I ain't going to lie this is my favorite album I don't care what nobody say in a 90s I was a little kid and the speakers was shaking the walls with big speakers surround system pictures was dropping on the wall I thought it was a earthquake that's why it's so special in my heart on this album stimulation is my favorite record I can play down on repeat the way the chops is on the sample
4:00 I KNEW it wouldn't be IT without THEE Razor Sharp Remix featuring Mary J. Blige!!! 1nce again, yet another fantastic #WAXONLY video! Keep em coming, dude!
His best album hands down.Man Rza had no choice but to lose a little steam after all these years because he came sooo hard with all those tracks for so many years. No disrespect at all.Thats actually props.Hes a legend and meth too.
Still mad we aint get to watch the Vol. 1 video. Was so excited to see the sample for a million and one questions / rhyme no more. God damn copyright. Cheers for sticking at it Vinny, keep up the sick work and keep the sampling culture alive
However, I am deeply baffled by the fact that this video did not include the actual title track "Tical", that song is the BOMB. Was it that VinRican didn't find/have the original records for that one?
The beginning of Tical samples the call sign for World Northal Corporation. The actual sound WNC uses is a synthesized flute version of Modest Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" on Quadrophenia
@@dravakian Thank you so much for this reply! Much appreciated! However, I was hoping for more info on the other samples used, like the low baseline heard throughout the song.
Weird to say because its a classic but this album is actually very underrated. A lot of bangers on this album but it doesnt get the same props like Cuban Linx, Liquid Swords, 36 Chambers, etc.
Cant make the connection with the sandman joint, RZA obscured that sample something crazy. Did he mix any other samples with it? The Mr Sandman vocals in RZA version sounds like they were provided by Blue Rasberry.
I think it was more of a do over track then a sample that's would explain why you don't here it besides the vocals done by blu raspberry still a lethal beat nonetheless and a dope concept to a track.
very solid album, though for some reason, it never been on par with GZA's and Rae's first solo album. I absolutely did not like TICAL 2000 initially, but now I happen to prefer TICAL2000 over TICAL... It's one of those NAS It Was Written getting preferred over Illmatic (I still like the Illmatic a little more, by the way)
God dam rza was in god mode in the ninteys.
GOD BODY! We needed this shyt here! RZA gave us some hits man
He was producing everything then😂
His ear was on point....and his sampling was Incredible

When i first heard mr sandman i didnt know it was a track from method man's album i heard the whole album later and i didn't know streetlife and carlton fisk so i really thought it was a gravediggaz song with wu tang members
I think it's safe to say RZA was grimy thru the 90s beginning to end
That Mr. SANDMAN with Inspectah Deck is the coldest joint on the album!!!! PERIOD
💯 Brutal like domestic violence

Imagine if that Basement flood had never happened.....
I’ve thought about this often throughout the years
Wow...
Explain this
Marcos Aruca RZA had a flood that destroyed the equipment he had with all of his early wu tang beats. Rza lost like 300 beats. Inspectah Deck’s first album was lost

REAL HIP-HOP PEACE TO THE METHOD MAN AND THE RZA CLASSIC
Classic
Also the Audio Two song "Top Billing" remix used that Joe TeX sample as well.
So did the Biz Markie and the late great Heavy D joint
Yes. This album was really good
So many Greta samples on this album as well...RZA truly is a genius with his sample manipulation over the years with the WU
I got this classic grimy ass masterpiece on vinyl. Heavy ass piece of wax and sounds awesome.. Minus the really tight centerhole.
Take a hangar put it on da fockin stove and let it sit there for like a half hour, than stick it in your centerhole slow like “tsssssss”
Please violent by design jmt
I don’t think any producer had a run comparable to Rza from 93-97
April Pandemic.......Still Bumping
Why would someone give a thumbs down... smh
Because they don't know hip hop 😩😩😩!!!!
because they skipped a lotta samples
SOLID
I JUST SUBSCRIBED!!! 💪💪💪
That mr sandman joint still gives me chills💀RZA is 1 of 1
RZA=GENIUS
Man he took like a 2 second snippet from that Jerry Butler joint and made a whole ass beat! Rza got problems smh
Great Album
Tuesday January 20th, 2020 7:30 a.m. "Get My Thang In Action" is the 2nd hardest on Tical next to "Bring Da Pain".
11:47 - Let's come together for the -- Snowbound -- Stimulation.
Bring the pain sample was nuts !!

Rupert Holmes "Escape" on the vocal hook on Bring The Pain
Do Cool Breeze East Piont greatest Hits, Organized noize did a steller job on the production. @vinrican.
Bring the pain 🔥 🔥 🔥
Rza’S ear for loops was something special
Rza in my top 5 prod
Premier, Dre, RZA, Havoc, Timbaland
Where’d RZA get that piano joint on “wut the bloodclot?”
One of the top 5 best/classic Wu solo albums
Wish he could’ve showcase the sample for P.L.O. Style
RZA Is Mad Scientist.... Can't qualify him in another word 😮😮😮
I'm having trouble with mef vs chef. I can't hear the sample in the original
It's the short Joe Tex drumbreak, but very filtered/muffled.
Phoenix 1200 , yo EPMD sampled that song from Joe Text also. On Strictly Business the song “Jane”
