Finally, someone playing metal on this thing. Trying to find how it sounds whilst scrolling through endless dad rock/grandpa blues videos. Sold me on this, I’m going to place an order
I've owned one for about a year now and you just made a fantastic decision my friend. This video does this guitar no justice, it absolutely blew my doors off. Every other guitar I own is two to three times the price and this is my go to unless I have the itch for some single coil tones but that never lasts too long. If I had one complaint it'd be that the bridge pick up is definitely hot. Happy playing, let me know what you think when you get it, I don't know anyone personally who owns one.
@@minky6617 Yeah I purchased one and I couldn’t be happier with it. Upgraded the tuners for Fender locking ones and replaced the pots and pup with a SD Hotrail and it absolutely rips!
I'm just glad there are more reviews about this guitar which aren't blues licks. Nothing wrong with blues licks whatsoever, but I don't think that's what this guitar in particular was designed for.
This guitar is just fantastic. And I don't know if i'm just fooling myself, but *I* found that bridge pickup gave tones *really* close to that "traditional" Tele sound. I don't think this is just a "Jim Root Lite" guitar.
Yep, just came back from the local store where they had this. Stands out against american boring-grandpa telecasters. This one is killer. The pickups are super tight. and the neck is fast, confortable. reallly recommend it.
@@vevzR6s I have a few 9.5” radius guitars and I have this guitar, too. Chords are easier on this guitar because of how low you can get the action. Feels like you just need rest your hand and fingers on the neck and the chord will ring. I feel that this thing really shines with more acrobatic type riffs and lead work. It’s a very nice fretboard for pounding out those aggressive riffs that call for finesse at the same time. So, it might take a sec, but you can really fly on this neck once you get used to it. It’s like a car that can go 0 to 60 a bit faster than the others.
Just ordered one (finally on stock at Thomann´s)..have been waiting for a year, i think..can´t wait to arrive..Im a big fan of contemporary series, i have the white/black HH strato with floyd rose and reversed headstock...i just love that thing :D
Just bought This beauty (white pearl version) really beautiful guitar, loved the sound (a little more brighter sound than my other tele with di marzio HB pic ups) other thing I noticed is that the puck ups (RH) have a lot of gain, and for the cleans I have to turn down a little bit the volume to not get distorted cleans…
I'm stuck on the same decision. The white with black hardware looks so good. If it had a darker fretboard like ebony I would definitely go for the white. But with the lighter fretboard I kinda feel like the gunmetal is just more unique since it can look like different colors in different lighting, from bright and silvery in bright light to blues and greens down to dark grey in dim lighting.
I have the shoreline gold which to my eye has a slightly more timeless quality to it, I found the other two somehow a little trendy, kind of 80s nostalgia by way of 2021 (anything that is trendy now will at some point be deeply un-trendy). I wasn’t sure whether the clash between the gold and the roasted maple would detract from one or the other. But I absolutely love it (along with everything else about it). Anyway that’s just my humble opinion, none of us are right or wrong!
@@DanAddison i bought it in shoreline gold... so yummy looking. Had to meck shimmed unfortunately. The neck angle was all wrong. It was like trying to play a bass.. don't know who was on qc that day. But really nice looking and sounding
@@emdawg2676 Ah that sucks - I should've mentioned that I also had one problem with mine, a few high frets. Paid a pro for a fret levelling job for a nicer, buzz-free action, making the guitar slightly less of a bargain for me too. But still worked out a lot cheaper than a bottom-end Fender. And gold!
Not sure why all the videos spend time describing what is right in front of us. The sound is of course an important because we know, or could know that these are alnico pickups with likely a common resistance although we don't really know what that is. The thing we do not know is the sharpness of the frets or if the action is low and does not buzz or perhaps something about the tuning keys - which I guess is fine. I think if you're playing metal you might need the extra two frets, and more powerful pickups, and if the FR (other models) is good. And certainly an Ibanez or a Schecter has an arch which is nice, and probably looks better although of course that's subjective. The FR version is $479, which the HB certainly beats.
You can get it pretty close but you'll never get the iconic twang of a single coil Tele. That being said, this thing rips and my Fender Player Strat gently weeps in it's case because I never put this guitar down.

I agree.
Finally someone who plays some metal on this thing, I think I'm sold
but it is built for that

Yeah, the bottom three strings sound SICK bro! 🙄

Hell yeah! I made a cover with my white Tele and the Tremonti amp, it's sick for tapping riffing and picking heavy metal. And it's so pretty.

i play a thinner neck (9.5) will it take time to get used to the 12?

5 minute mark sold me awesome thanks. Some reverb would have been fantastic on that.

Jesus christ , 15 seconds in and I've made my mind up . Cheers mate here's to a new guitar 🎸 👍
Excellent looking guitar... The Pro2's heels are unfinished; this Tele looks completed!
In the bridge pickup could we swap it for humbucker?? Or we have to reroute the hole?
I come to this place because of this type of thing? This is why I bought this guitar. I want to see more metal and anything heavy played on guitars.
For a second I thought that was Tony Perry in the thumbnail haha
Have the White one, Love it!!!!!!
I'm one click away from buying it. I think I like the white one more. Any suggestions on the color?
The white look so clean, good choice honesty. But the grey one looks stealthy as f

may i ask the one u holding on intro is that olive color?
Any Suggestion to what's the best pickup upgrade for this setup? I'm planning to but the white one and just upgrade the pots and pickups.
Got mine arriving today. I have a DiMarzio Super Distortion T which I plan to put in the bridge. Did you make any changes in the end?
@@beejaamin1 ive never heard the distortion T, does it still hold decent clarity at high gains?
Are these higher up the range than the classic vibes?
They are a little cheaper than Classic Vibes generally.
It's basically a more hard rock/metal focused tele of the same quality. Very good bang for your buck
$459 USD. Unless you're on a first name basis with the Guitar Center manager. ;)
How would you compare the cleans with the single coils? Is it close?

Which tuning? Epic
Love to see a demo where the dude actually plays the MF guitar!! Awesome !!!
My 2011 Squier Jim Root has the same heel
Body is thinner than on fender models?
I think about the same thickness, but with a belly cut.
Only about 2mm. Visually, you can't tell. It's not super thin like the Bullet.
I need More cow bell
I don't give a f**k about the guitar ( I got the same one)...
All glory to the first riff U playing....
Shut up and take my money
So lush
Why can't people just play these clean so we can hear what they actually sound like??????
they’re meant for metal, it has a high output humbucker and the single coil is a hr anyway
