What did you spend 10k on? Whys the whole video not acknowledge anything in title just crawling around town trying to make sound at every available opportunity? Stage 2 is downpipe, ecu, spark plugs and ignition coils, intercooler and chargepipe if applicable, air filter/intake and then maybe radiator/oil cooling and a trans tune. Just an ecu and downpipe isn't quite stage 2
Stage 2 means different things for different platforms. Many platforms these days only require an ecu tune, downpipe, and drop in filters to go stage 2. The other mods are recommended but not "required"
@mizaqenyad4269 stage 1 : remap Stage 2: full bolt ons Stage 3: upg turbos, fueling, basically everything aside from building engine. To me anyway, I guess all have their own definition and most will fall somewhere Inbetween two stages, it's all stupid anyway I hate the stage system just figured I'd point out it usually means having the other things done too
@ i agree staged tuning is dumb but its good for giving a rough metric. I just go by whatever the specific platform calls to be considered stage 2. My audi s5 stage 2 ecu tuning required hardware was a supercharger pulley/ belt upgrade, a heat exchanger upgrade, and an intake. For my bmw m4 it was simply downpipes and a tune. I also gapped the stocl plugs tighter. The stock cooling is so efficient that it can easily support track driving with modified cars. The intakes as well.
@@mizaqenyad4269 are you saying you'd make same power on an m4 with tune and a downpipe as you would with a better/larger intercooler, plugs etc that I listed above? Pretty sure you'd see gain just like every other application I've seen go full/mostly full bolt ons
@ Do some research if you would like. The oem intercooler on the f82 m4 is more efficient than any aftermarket offering except the top of the line $2500 units, which do not add power, only help control temperatures on cars with aftermarket turbos. You can also achieve more stable IATs in extremely hot weather by using an upgraded heat exchanger, however this will again add zero HP and will only be noticeable in 90°F+ weather when driving aggressively. And with the plugs- as i stated i changed the spark plug gap to be tighter than it is from factory. There is zero benefit to be had from changing out the oem plugs. Aftermarket "upgrade 2 step colder" plugs are simply oem replacements that have a tighter gap... if i must continue, optimal IATs are achieved by keeping the factory charge pipes. Many change the hot side pipes from plastic to silicon for durability reasons, however yet again this does not add a single HP to the car. The modifications on the f82 M4 that add power while retaining the stock turbos and using 91/93 octane fuel are: ECU tune, catless downpipes, and catless midpipes. Thats it. The factory cooling system and intakes more than supports it.
C63 is my dream car
