Oh you will absolutely LOVE the X Shot Skins Lock Blaster and Dart Zone Outlaw Advice from a Nerf gun modder; Completely disassembling the gun and painting the sides would give you better detailing and control
That and it is also much safer for the mechanism most people wouldn't believe how a single speck of paint in the wrong place can bring your nerf from totally working to jamming half the time.
I do love it when you take a break from the miniatures to make something BIG! I love the dioramas but it's so fun to see you make something big enough that you could (gently) play with!
This reminds me of one of my favorite missions in Red Dead Redemption. The attack on fort mercer. Just mowing enemies down using a hand crank gatling gun. I love this. Thank you for this
Fantastic build! The only thing i personally would have done different is that i would have also painted the 3 bands (that supposedly hold the barrels together) and the big one at the end of the barrels in brass for a bit more contrast, but that is just me.
It looks great….. except that magazine stands out like a big block of foam….because it is. Maybe a follow up video where we make that fit in more? Otherwise the gun itself looks outstanding.
"This here, is the Mk IV Boylei Rotary Gatling Gun, called "Happy Boy". It has 6 rotary barrels connected to a central rotation rod that is hand-cranked like most Gatling gun models but the unique recoil spring at the center rotary rod and adjustable tripod mount allow for this gun to be used by a single person rather than a crew of three people. Its smaller size makes it lighter and far more mobile than the older models. It has a unique double-lined magazine that can hold 72 rounds of ammo. This particular model fires .45 caliber and can fire up to 400 of those bullets a minute. But only around half that if there is no loader." "Note that this gun has an inlined centrifuge charger that uses the manual rotation of the barrels to charge the barrels with the required electrical charge to allow these bullets to pierce most monster's hides, or to at least make them think twice about facing it again. It has good accuracy at around 100 yards and has a medium hit chance up to around 300 yards. But anymore beyond that, is just wasting bullets." "It can angle up and down to about 50 degrees if you adjust the tripod's height and leg width. But if you do this it is recommended you screw the legs into place to make the gun less prone to falling over. This is a common tactic when mounting the Gatling on top of buildings, mechs, carriages, or towers. To give the gun the best chance of shooting down or up." "The rotating barrels allow for a less than 1% chance of a bullet jamming. It is still required that you oil, grease, wash, and clean your Mk IV BRGG after use and after a week of unused. Treat your gun well and it will keep you alive." -An introduction to the Mark 4 Boylei Rotary Gatling Gun "Happy Boy" by the Colt Company.
It's probably for the best that toys like this didn't exist when I was a kid. The amount of stuff that we would have damaged or broken in the house is mind-blowing when I think about it.
I like the idea that the sherrif keeps this by his desk, or mounted on the wall behind it. Pure intimidation factor to any bad agents until the day he has to get on the roof with it and use it.
You can paint decent wood grain quickly with a brown undercoat finished with a dark coloured water base wash especially if you lay it on thick in a wood grainy pattern
I absolutely love that idea of townsfolk passing around a hat and pooling cash to buy the sheriff an expensive gun, it paints this picture of how important community is in this world you’ve built and I love it 😊
Very nice. I think to sell the idea of a cartridge firing gatling you could smudge up the brass up at the muzzle to give it a sooty effect. Awesome as always though.
This build could inspire another town building: an ammo factory. This could be the largest and most fortified in the the whole town! Or do a monster auction/market area idea: it’s the place where the hunters and trappers can buy sell their trophies.
I just bought one of these for my grandson (much to my daughter's annoyance) after taking a few darts to the back of my head I can tell you that disabling this ornament destroyer was a good move. 😁
I think it time for a cowboy hat to complete your ensemble with a little earpiece and goggles that pop down would make for a fun turn working with clothes
you have a revolver, a rifle, and a gatling gun... how about a 1:1 saddle with one of those machines that keeps monsters away with some kind of indication of how it might be tuned for different regions/monster types? love this whole series and can't wait to see what comes next!
If you haven't seen them, you might go to Midway or Brownells and look at gunsmith universal bench blocks, like the one from Wheeler. Lets you hold material off the table surface for small drilling and manipulation.
My 90s-kid brain kicking in at the site of that tripod shot was hilarious. Can you imagine Nerf wars going on as a kid and you rocked up with that thing? lmao
I think it may have made more sense for the world you have made, if that magazine had been one of those massive circular drum magazines. Bigger monsters require bigger ammo capacity.
First of Wow! Thats an amazing build! It looks so realisticakly and amazing Second of, thanks to you i was inspired to build my first diorama set in lore of my sci fi world, so thanks a lot for inspiration!
You could do a figure based off a couple songs, big iron, big john etc. id think it would be interesting how you do a big john character and the scale of him compared to the rest of the WIW
who else wouldn't mind seeing him build a diorama of that sheriff facing the prairie wolves scene
Idea seconded!
This would be epic!
I imagine the sheriff having a robotic arm holding his gun, or a gun for a hand.

i think the logical next step is a 1:1 mech
Think nerdforge just did one?
We’re only getting closer to a 1:1 scale town.
@@russrandall4834it’s awesome. I can’t wait to see the movie that it’s in
Obviously, good thinking really.
COLIN FURZE did a at-at
I looooooove the 1:1 scale builds, they do such an immaculate job at expanding the world and showing its personality
I swear you could make a tv show with your universe.
And make audio books using that smooth voice
I would watch that show
@@6922bondI mean who wouldn’t
Fox already cancelled Firefly.
I feel like it would have a tiny bit of Fallout feeling 👀 sounds awesome
As another 1:1 scale idea, do a hat that has been made to fit in the WIW
A hat with a build in communications array or target locator like Boba Fett.
Might as well do a whole entire cosplay
The overkill of the ‘one round of use’ had me snorting my cup of tea 😂
I don't know if it's just me, but the badass concept contrasting with how hilariously lame it is in action cracked me up.

Would love to see a respirator mask with some form of bandanna design tied into it! perfect for those god darn pesky sandstorms

Much like the other 1:1s and everything else you've done, absolutely gorgeous finished product. Makes me want to make my own WIW props
My man glad you taken a blaster into this project series. Also glad you used the right term for the ammo it takes
If I were a smart Hollywood guy I'd be signing you to make Imaginary Wild West movies. Keep up the good work doing your thing and having fun brother!
You can now make history museum with all the dioramas and guns.
I love this 1:1, but I’ve come to realize that any scale you do is exceptional! Such a cool build!! Thanks Boylei!
I love when you make the wild West weapons..great job 👍🏿👍🏿
You drop this Vid on the day I have been sorting the blaster collection out. cool. Time for a rest and a watch.
Could you make something with a big swamp with mangroves and a monster ( would be epic)😊
The wild imaginary west would be a awesome video game
Nice build, coming from one who worked on modern day Gatlins, the M134 and M197.
Great job as always. I would say you should consider redoing the Magazine, it looks like what it is, painted foam.
as someone who likes nerf and has this exact one used this hurts... but as a fan of the wild imaginary west this is bloody awesome!
I could watch your videos for days. So brilliant and relaxing at the same time
That think is a monster slayer for sure. Epic
How about a double barrel shotgun next? Or some apparel we would see folks in this universe wear?
That is the coolest thing I have seen. I love the 1:1 scale builds. Love to see more

Masterful work Boylei! Amazing.
"Think prairie dogs.... but wolves..." Absolutely the most terrifying thing I've ever heard.
This is so sick, does this mean these kind of videos are to expected more often, like the other guns you've made because theyre awesome
