hello there. thanks for making this video. however i have a question, the static ip you used is it the same for all printer setup? and also the dhcp and dns address? I am looking to connect my canon c5560i to my network. thanks
Hi Samuel, every printer on your network needs a unique Static IP address so the answer to your first question is NO. Again, in setting the IP address, you need to set the IP (Static), sunbet mask, default gateway and DNS. DHCP is when you don't set the address yourself but rather your printer obtains one from your router or your DHCP server I hope that helps but if you have further questions or need further assistance, please follow me on Facebook @techpba and shoot me a message on messenger. I prefer to use host name with dhcp enabled
Good to know. Others prefer to use the IP address but it's always good to have that option. If one doesn't work, you can fall on the other
