Ollie will be impressed with that impression of him saying blocked drain another fantastic video gavin
Haha that’s why I throw it in
First thing to try, with pressure washers, the output shafts are usually tied to the pump directly, if the pump is providing too much resistance, it’ll lock your engine because there’s no hope of your starter being strong enough to crank through the resistance, so make sure open any output valves to relieve pressure on the pump. Next, your starter is looking rough. It’s the cylindrical can with the wires coming out. Remove the wires from the terminal and clean the terminals. Scrub any rust off, buy a can of terminal cleaner, recrimp the wires if you must. Your starter is either not getting enough power, or as a result of crusty terminals or the wear on the starter, there’s too much resistance and no amount of power will be enough to turn the starter. It also seemed intermittent, so you may have a lose or nicked wire between your starter and battery. I’d check the wires, and again, make sure all the terminals are clean and not crusty. Check all terminals on the ignition, battery, and starter. Make sure they are tight, that things vibrates like a monster. The electric system may also have an interrupt trip switch for example a water level float switch, or an emergency interrupt switch/button to quickly turn off power to the spark plugs. You’ll see a button like this on Ollie’s machine. I believe with a little bit of diligence, you can find the problem.
Finally had some root infestation the other day in London six different places each specie a meter long . As I was pulling them out I was shouting ROOTS 😂
A difficult clearing this day. Hopefully you’ll get the machinery repaired. See you on the next. Cheers mate! 🇦🇺🙂👍🇺🇸
Your starter had a bad spot on the commutator 👍 Time for a rebuild or exchange
Yup the power isn't getting where it needs to be.
I agree.... Sounds like your starter solenoid (relay) is giving up...... Get it to a service guy.....
Good Ole tappy tappy on starter lol or serious service
I've noticed it sounding like it's been having a harder time starting over the past few videos. Hopefully it's just the starter
Nice Steaks! Great video Gavin!
Thanks 👍
MR. P sounds like u had a bad connection on the motor that's why it was not starting. Berry had some big time problems with his storm water pipes needs to get them fixed i hopeu get to fix it for him.i hope to see the video on the repairs. Roooooooots 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for sharing the good and also the (really) bad experiences.
To get the nozzles out, make a tool as @drainaddict has; it is a large pole with 2 pins at one end. You put the pole with the pins down with the hose in between the pins. Push the pole, pull the hose and it will come out more easily.
All the best from Mexico
Thanks for the tips!
Starter is going bad.
There is a solenoid switch on it. The solenoid engage the starter to the flywheel of the motor, while also bringing a copper disk to bridge the switch part of the solenoid. So with a small current you can engage the solenoid, which once engaged allow the massive current required for the starter motor to pass.
Sadly, it tend to wear out.
In a pinch, you may be able to make it move off from the bad spot to a less bad spot by hitting the starter with a hammer. Sometime it make it move just enough to be able to start a few times. But replace the starter before it is fully dead.

Have your service tech bypass the key to a switch for power then a pushbutton for start
The vibration from the weight of your keyset has wallowed out the tumbler
Enjoyed the mini road trip, thanks.
Loose positive terminal on your Jetter starter motor Gav. I can see it in the video
Hi Gavin been a while, done your best on that one are you getting the job to repair it as it will make a great video, for your starting problem sounds like your starter motor so clean all the terminals on it as i seen signs of rust, then grease them up with petroleum jelly (Vaseline) and also check your battery terminals for corrosion 👍👍
Thanks 👍
Great work as always gavin.❤
Thanks again!
🇬🇧 watching
Plenty of obstacles on this one.
Time for service..... as much as you rely on that machine I'd replace battery, starter, solenoid, check the flywheel gear face for wear....
i think the water tank is squashing the pipe..
Time to replace the starter !
10:30
If you take a nozzle with the jets only backwards, all the water contained in the pipe will be emptied!?
Sounds like a starter
How is Ms. P doing?
She is good
That' s the sound of a starter not engaging.
How's it going Mrs P?

The other thing u should have ur mech do is run a battery cable from the truck positive to the jetter battery positive & also ground the jetter batt to the truck frame that way it will charge the jetter batt when u drive plus u have more reserve power cause u have the truck batt adding to the power. Hell if u where here in the states NJ i would show u how & do the work at my shop. Got 15 plus years with small engines & 28 year mechanic on everything
That’s a good idea
i had a feeling it would die soon sorry
👍🏼
Let us know how the steak 🥩 comes out
sounds like the battery is really weak.
You either have a faulty battery or you need a new starter motor
Did that pump engine finally decide to start because you showed it your baby sledge?
Haha
Next time try smacking the starter with a wrench or a hammer not to hard though.
Check the ground
Sometime you win sometimes you d ont . Go home and put the steaks on the BarB..🤷👍
Thar sucks!!
Simple, it’s not a Honda
It's hard for me to watch when you're using your camera
uber driver sent me
Welcome.. I guess it was Clint!
Told you, it would stuff up if you kept starting it they way you do. Let us know what it cost to repair/replace...
Starter or battery or both need to be replaced. Gavin is the man, if he can't clear the drain, no one can! Get your shovel mate!
Could also be a bad charge controller or alternator.
@@MarkRose1337 if he's using those small tractor batteries, they only last 2-3 years so that's where I would go first.
Looks like the engine repair guy will be eating Waygu soon! =-)
..maybe a loose wire..
You can see the starter connection sparking, the brownish bolt the nut needs to be tightened. 5:07 Starter isn't getting enough power.
Funny thing yesterday i bought 6 1/4lb Wagu beef burgers from Lidl in the UK . I froze 4 of them and had 2 of them today they were nice and juicy as the fat of the beef makes it just like another meat joint which is very expensive to Gavin . As those cows that you get Wagu beef from are pampered every day of the week including massages as it originated from Japan . I hope you enjoyed your steaks like i did my burgers Gavin & family.
Keep up the good work love watching you on TH-cam god bless
That wagu is a good cut
Sounds like the starter motor solenoid to me.. clicking and not engaging
I love the fattiness of Wagyu ❤ it is extremely rich though. Especially the rib fillet cut. My favourite is sirloin when its a really high grade as tou dont get the think bit of fat through the middle 😊
Old saying (at least from my side of the globe): “sometimes you’re the windshield, sometimes you’re the bug”.
Seems we know what your position is, this time around
Don't know this setup but it sounded like the starter solenoid was clicking in but then not supplying power to the starter itself. Dodgy solenoid or connections but possibly dodgy starter/connections??? Battery seemed Ok as it started once things were making connections again.
I can hear the solenoid going but the starter may be stuck/damaged. Usually just tapping a few times can get you by until you take it in.
100% know your problem cause i saw it spark in the video that battery connection on the starter that is rusty needs cleaned
your starter is going out that's why sometimes it starts and some it don't
Either your battery or coil 😂
You should have taped on the starter
🐸 Cow of a job ! 🐮😱
What's for dinner? 🤔😜
✌🏻😎
Would love to see this repair!!
You have a problem
With the starter. Get a new one or rebuild it. Can get it started by tapping on it or the solonoid
I’ve noticed in many videos you have a long crank time on your machine. Could be weak battery and/or starter spinning to slow. I would change both
Ya can't win them all. But look at the bright side, you got a big ole juicy steak to cook up when you get home. 😋😋
You got that right!
..? ..Ever thought of trying your hand at being a snake wrangler Gavin..? Lol.
Haha never
@@penetratorblockeddrains .well, it would defo make for entertainment..!! ..? Thought you Aussies are good at that stuff!! Not quite an Erwin then.. lol
You win a few. You'll lose a few. It's all part of it. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦
Re starting issues, not the key or ignition lock section. The solenoid on your starter has rusty screw terminals and nuts, and also rust stains on the insulated housing. Rust is neither a good conductor or a good insulator, it just creates electrical resistance and leakage. The fact that the starter spins ok under load when it gets power suggests that the solenoid internal terminals or external screw terminals are the issue, but comments about unloading the pump when starting are quite valid. A bypass from the pump outlet through a valve back into the top of the tank would help reduce starter cranking load. By opening the valve before turning the key any water pumped by the starter returns to the tank without creating line pressure that loads the starter and engine. Once the engine is running, the valve is closed restoring pressure to the pressure lines.
This Starter is to repair, or a new to build in. The Problem with the Roots, not new in Your Country. Good Work from You. 💪👍👌
Its the starter poss prob is the start term not getting a full 12volts seen it a lot on small engines. If u change the starter it might work for a while but will start to do the same thing again. Have ur mech test the volts on the start term when u turn the key to start position. If u dont get a full 12volts have him wire a relay to the start term.
Starter motor is has given in.
I also watch you on TH-cam from memory. And, I will continue to do so.
I myself had never heard of wagyu beef so I looked it up. I am a beef eater but I don't think I would like that either. I like some fat on a good steak for flavor but not 65% or greater! From what I read the meat is usually old too. That's not for me 😅. Hope you enjoy your meal. I'm sure Mrs.P is an excellent cook.
I didn’t like it even though it was a less grade of fat.
A very good Thursday evening to you all
Same to you!
Bad starter. Get a hammer and tap it.
A hammer solves lots of problems lol
Nice bit of solving the problem + video/job Gavin 🦸 😇👍 I see the starter was having a daisy day (days it start and days it won't) 🤞 you've had it's problem solved🤞 Enjoy your beef🤤😋 and Have a lovely weekend Gavin and family ❤
Thanks 👍
