I like the fact that it drags the branches in. The ones where you have to stand there and keep pushing them down are just too time consuming. But would have liked to see it try more leafy branches and more knobbly branches.
Just bought one and works just like the video. I have patostrum and conifer trees that had massively overgrown. No problem with branches up to 45mm thick. It can take some twisted branches but works easier with mostly straight pieces. Makes noise (it's a chipper/mulcher after all) but not as loud as you might think when watching the video. I had it on for a couple of hours and noise was not a problem. Bigger branches mulch better than smaller twigs but overall can't complain. For a home garden that needs basic pruning and mulching, it does the job.
I've used one of these. At first I thought it would be hopeless on thicker branches, but I was quite impressed by the performance. The only fault(if you could call it that) is that the bin fills up too fast.It wont operate without the bin attached. If the bin switch could be bypassed or deactivated it would be quicker to operate
KelseyEstate1 - You do realize most competition generally output 95~110db! And those are official/tag numbers. Believe it´s a lot more noisy. ;-) Cheers
@@citic101 Probably , crushers sometimes also have blades which chop up the crushed wood. It depends what you want from your shredder. mulch, wood chips, etc.
Not that silent, I've got two, both out of the same Chinese sweatshop.... Brilliant tools made better by opening up the slot in the top and getting rid of the silly little plastic box and mounting the machine on top of a wheelie bin, you don't have to keep stopping by doing that. A couple of paving slabs on top to compress the chippings overnight and you can get masses in.

Best video I have seen yet. No talking, just action. Would have liked to see the chips though too
is it on, I can hardly hear it over the noise of a 747 taking off
Funny I like the joke, but its certainly performing well....who cares about the neighbors? lol
the silence was deafening. Why would they call it silent shredder is beyond me.
It's so silent, how would I know if it's on or not? Seems a bit dangerous.
THIS is how you make a video, like a boss.
The best TH-cam video I've ever seen!!!!
too funny, lol

Self feed
DOES it cut by blade or grinder ? how much noise do you get ? i am look for a very quiet one
slowly rotating blade. this one is about as quiet as they come. You don't need earmuffs but it still makes a bit of noise of course.
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL Is it right to say that you have ones with blades that cut and others that crush cut ? would crush cut be more silent ?

mulch, wood chips, etc.
according to Ryobi they do not sell this anymore, if anyone can tell me different it would be appreciated, I liked this shredder.
Silent?
Is it safe to put my finger in it?
You can stick any body part you like in it, be my guest.
Wow, that was really silent. I am sure they are extensively used in submarines.
Yeah... a lot of trees need shredding on subs.

Quieter than an Impact shredder , this is around 85 db, so you don't need ear defenders .

Ryobi products are bad, I have electric scissors and a chopper, both broke down quickly after the warranty expired.
I do not recommend this company!
