Watched carefully both trailers (Russian and English), and it's not only voiceover, they are different by pronunciation and the animations of the characters, and the cutscenes were filmed accordingly. Shows how much soul they've put in this game to make it good. Bravo!

If you’ve ever purchased a can of Coca Cola you helped indirectly fund the war in Iraq. It’s a dumb reason not to buy a game. The devs didn’t start the war they just happened to be a part of the country who threw the first punch.

Yeah all those rumors just suddenly piled up just before the release of the game, and the developers are even working for a French publisher. Anyone with a braincell should figured out what is actually happening here.

Look into it if you haven't been paid to write that comment... And all of that isn't even mentioning the disgusting glorification of the USSR and communism.

original audio+english subtitles are the way to go.

I'm so hyped for this world and the story. It's exciting to get a familiar game from the perspective of a different culture.
It feels like Atomic Heart has taken several aspects from some of our favorite games and put it into one. I am really excited for this one.

The combat doesn't look really good in my opinion. Previews show the player mainly running backwards while firing at the enemies who seem like bullet sponges. There's no strategy to the shooting mechanic from what I have seen so far. I hope I'm wrong because it's definitely a beautiful looking game and has the potential to be something special

It looks really promising, I just hope it will be well optimized.
Saw a video featuring unedited combat in the open world.
Enemies appeared in the video to be bullet spongey, can easily be avoided via backtracking like in a bethesda game, rockets from the launcher are the slowest I've ever seen and you can't really feel or hear impact from your meele attacks.
However the way the game spawns reinforcements is sick and you can really see the damage that your melee did to the robots after a successful hit.
I'm hoping that they fixed some of the issues and that the character was just underleveled or at a high difficulty level.
But still I'm very sceptical about the combat experience I'm not getting Cyberpunked again.

This feels like a combination of BioShock, Portal, Fallout, and Wolfenstein, and I am so excited.
This game has been in development for MANY YEARS. The Ukraine conflict didn’t exist then. Don’t let the current political climate make you not buy a game.
Ok bro I’m so glad they didn’t say “your dialogue choices matter in the story” like most games and said that it will let you enjoy interesting responses. They aren’t trying to lie like other games who say that your choices matter when they don’t.

There looks to be so much love and care put into this game. The story seems to so closely resemble what's happening with modern day technology. I'm really excited.
I truly hope this is a new bioshock. story focused single player games need a strong revival and this has potential
The first few hours of playing Bioshock 1 is one of my all-time favorite video game memories. I was mesmerized by the look of the realistic water and then the story just pulled me in deep into the game. Not to mention, I still try to find and listen to those old 20's /30s songs they had on the soundtrack. The soundtrack is what pulled you into the game as well. I am hoping that this game does the same thing. Hopefully they use old Russian songs from the the actual 50s, even some American 50's songs would be okay too as we will be playing in English anyway. Crossing my fingers. Please be the next BIOSHOCK

I mean you can do what you want, but I hope there's an option for Russian language with English subtitles! Especially for me given I understand Russian, but I also generally prefer playing Japanese games with the original voice acting
Dude I still haven’t played a game that comes close to playing Bioshock for the first time. I played the demo and was blown tf away. Literally no game setting can match Rapture, Cyberpunk comes close though. Man if this game could be the next Bioshock I wouldn’t need anything more from video games ever again!
The music at the beginning of this trailer seems quite authentic for the 1950s.
On the other hand, the trailer from gamescom 2022 features more modern music (in the style of 1970s and 1980s USSR).
I assume, the game will have something like a blend of both the 1950s and the 1970s styles, because the 1950s style gives the "retro" and the "simplicity" vibes, while the 1970s style gives the "cheerfulness" and the "nostalgia" vibes.
Blending them together might be a very interesting choice that will most likely yield a very pleasant style.

I have known of this game and been following it on and off since the original trailer dropped. Thought about it ever since. One of the few games I've been excited for in YEARS!
This game is not made by the soulless AAA devs, so I have some hope for it.

This game has been in development for years. Last time i heard about it was probably around 2016 to 2018. Let’s hope that time helped the devs make a good game

It's apparently fully linear and only 25 hours long. Most people will be done with this game within a month after launch. It was so disappointing for me to find that out

I know a lot of this footage is provided by the devs themselves, but by the looks of it, it seems they at least added a bit of an animation for when enemies get hit. With luck they're still not as spongey

Seems like this game will bloom or wilt on the strength of the enemy a.i. it looks fantastic and it's not hard to make puzzles engaging, but that won't be enough by itself. Really genuinely got my fingers crossed for this one

Another Point of Divergence is likely Nikolai Bukharin taking over the USSR instead of Joseph Stalin. Jesus, being interested in this game has been a rollercoaster. From that first showcase years ago, to the delays after delays, to seeing the rough looking gameplay to finally this...
And it still looks epic!
The fact that this is on game pass just makes the deal even sweeter.
What's funny to me is that I actually started conceptualizing a Bioshock-esque fps game with Soviet aesthetics few months ago. And its so uncanny how my ideas were so similar to the concept of this game, the only difference would be that the game in my mind would take place in a secret Soviet holdout in a Arctic city in a alternate 2000s.
I love this new farcry ,fallout ,bioshock ,but yet a completely different and interesting game , this game needs more views as it looks amazing and needs to be shared so more people can see and support it ,can't wait to play it , getting this before i get Hogwarts Legacy

I'm very 50/50. The concept and footage I've seen looks fantastic but after so many disappointments I am worried this could be a messy launch. I'll be waiting for reviews before buying it. Though I really want this one to be good.

To be honest, after watching this, i dont truly care about the gameplay or the game itself, i just want to know more about the world this is set in. the history of it has magnetic quality, i just want and need to know more, like The New Order for HOI4 , i must see how this current CCCP shaped the world, how it affected the WW2, if it even happened. i have so many questions, and i cant wait to enjoy this content to its fullest.

i know some people love motion blur but in this video I feel like I cant see the combat its so strong lol
I always disable motion blur & film grain. 1st thing I do
99% of the time the reason they have it in trailers is because the game is either unoptimized and the blur hides visual artefacts that haven't been fixed yet or because it's running at a lower frame rate where things look choppy without blurring. They love to claim it's cinematic, but we all know it isn't. You know a game is likely to be decent when they don't have much motion blur in the trailers, especially the gameplay ones.

As amazing as this game looks, that's about where my excitement ends and caution takes its place. These kinds of trailers usually have games that are _very_ hit and miss, especially in today's video game market and developing landscape. I'll keep my eye on it, because it does look like it has potential. But, similar to many other releases with seeming potential, there's a good chance it'll be squandered.
This era of gaming will be seen as a desert full of missed potential. While everyone currently is diving into ten year old games while we wait for things to improve, people in ten years probably won't be playing any games from this time period at ALL. I surely won't be.
