लोकसभा ने दिल्ली के तीन नगर निगमों को एक करने वाले (MCD Unification Bill) दिल्ली नगर निगम (संशोधन) विधेयक, 2022 को बुधवार मंजूरी दे दी। लोकसभा में विधेयक पर हुई चर्चा का जवाब देते हुए गृह मंत्री अमित शाह (Union Home Minister Amit Shah) ने बताया कि इस बिल के पीछे मंशा क्या है और इसकी जरूरत क्यों पड़ी। अपने संबोधन के दौरान शाह ने दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल की उस बात का जवाब भी दिया जिसमें उन्होंने कहा था कि बीजेपी ने चुनाव में हार के डर से MCD चुनाव टाले हैं। केजरीवाल ने दिल्ली विधानसभा में कहा था कि दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी पार्टी सबसे छोटी पार्टी से डर गई। अमित शाह ने हाल में हुए विधानसभा चुनावों के नतीजों में आम आदमी पार्टी के प्रदर्शन का हवाला देते हुए बताया कि कैसे तीन राज्यों में उसके प्रत्याशियों की जमानत जब्त हो गई। शाह ने कहा कि जो लोग हम पर डरने का आरोप लगा रहे हैं, दरअसल वो खुद डरे हुए हैं।
