@@dataphoenix8004 Yes they do lol, 78% of men who call the police on wife who was proven later to have domestically abused them actually got arrested for domestic abuse when police arrived despite making the call themselves, tho this study is from australia, police are police... and female privilege is a real thing in the justice system.

@@dataphoenix8004 Yes you can. Ive seen it plenty of times. Here in CT its called the "therman law" i believe. If the police are called to the scene of a domestic, they are obligated to make an arrest, regardless of whether charges are pressed or who did what. So don't make pronouncements when you are ignorant.

Been in his shoes before, I 100% experienced this exact thing and felt first hand the discrimination and assumptions. Even though I was the "victim" everyone, including the court assumed she needed protection and I was an animal, it sucks.
Thank you for this, Chael. I am a huge Chuck Liddell fan and was shocked when I heard that he was arrested for domestic violence. I have followed his career, watched him in interviews, saw him on Dancing With the Stars, read his book “Ice Man” twice, and have watched his highlights almost as often as I watch Larry Bird highlights. I love Chuck Liddell. A badass who is a sweet guy.

Chuck actually lost to Jeremy on their first outing - went to sleep with an arm triangle sub. Chuck's next fight was at Neutral Grounds, which was one of the top underground NHB promotions in Cali at the time. He went on to win in the main event with a standing rear naked over Kenneth Williams who actually did pretty well on his stand up exchanges with Chuck...Showing some promise, Kenneth would continue on with his NHB career taking on another fight, this time at Gladiators Challenge.
Unfortunately for him the guy on the other side of the cage that night was none other than Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.
I loved how low he kept that right hand; circling, waiting, like a Great White shark beneath the calm waves. But once he broke that water and struck, you were dead ☠️ He was the MAN in his prime!

Saw Chuck on a commuter ferry from Macau to Hong Kong (in economy class). After helping his wife to her seat, I noticed that he had helped multiple people stow their luggage away and signing autographs before seating himself down. Just sharing...

I think Chuck started the modern mohawk style. I remember in the mid 2000's one guy had the mohawk at the gym, and within a couple years,10-15 people had it.

As a retired cop, I can confirmed that many jurisdictions require an arrest in domestic violence calls, be it the women or the man. I once arrested a guy for domestic violence based on the female making the call a voicing her fears. The male was taken to jail. I later discovered that I arrested the wrong person! As far as the martial arts goes, similar to Chuck, I trained for MMA. Sadly, MMA was established a bit too late for my generation. Back in the 70’s I learned Tae-Kwon-Do earned a black belt , trained in boxing , learned a bit of Japanese Jujitsu. At that time I never hear of such a thing called Brazilian Jujitsu. Sadly, boxing and kickboxing was the only choice I had, I chose kickboxing .

Chael quick to defend Chuck. One can never assumed because of interactions one has in public or privately with individuals because one never knows what really goes on in ppl's private lives and homes.
I've been Chael Sonnen for Halloween every year of my entire life
anyone whos been to a gym to train for any period of time knows that the guys in a gym are almost entirely made up of the most relaxed and calm guys on the planet, with nothing to prove because they know where they stand and work out any aggression in the gym. There are exceptions, of course, like anything, but they are usually younger guys who never had to check their ego before. Chuck has never been one of those guys, has never raised his voice, has always been calm and collected. I believe him and trust him because he's never done anything to show he's a liar, or out of control, and I know how these domestic cases are dealt with and what he said makes sense. I feel like we all (the MMA community) owe it to chuck to give him the benefit of the doubt here and wait until there's more information before making any assumptions. Hope your doing ok Chuck

I only seen him once while filming and what he's says to me first was hey good morning (hand shake) and what's your name I tell him nice to meet you have a great day. Well that's one of the reasons why he will always be my favorite.

To the people saying they don't just swap people they arrest the offender this might not be the case
domestic disputes are nasty and cops HATE them. They are always the most dangerous calls for cops
they mainly just want to separate people if necessary and if chuck volunteered to make the process easier till it got figured out it is possible just so they didnt keep fighting or kill eachother
it might be a lie but honestly I could see it happening specifically because it's a domestic violence situation that are often convoluted

I live 25 miles away from where Chuck is from and I used to see him after punk shows at SLO brew and he was always cool. Also you never heard rumors of any kind that he was a woman beater. It's a hard secret to keep in a small town like San Luis Obispo.

I don't think our court system works like that, you can't go to jail in place of someone this isn't offering a tribute in the hunger games, you can only be charged with crimes you've committed.

I got introduced to the sport during Chuck’s reign and fell in love with the sport in a large part due to the Iceman. He was my favorite fighter. I really hope that what he’s saying is true. I would hate to know that he is a domestic abuser.
