1:18 Sorry to see Mr King leave GH, although he does do a Cameo in the next series. Just found out recently that David Straun had appeared in panto at the end of 1986, working along with Jim Bowen of all people. And his spot in a 1983 Woolworths advert where he gets excited about Cadbury's Dairy Milk being 15p, (ironically after the "Fay" kitchen towels part) is on YT if you look in the right place. Top bloke. By the way, I would have like to have seen more School Governor meetings in the series, giving us a background that even us pupils never got to see in real life.
Mr bronson (by Michael Sheard) was always 'on the buses!' if you get my drift!* He also played Emily Bishop's fancy piece in corrie (c.1989) as well. *played a cheif inspector on otb int early 70s.
Good on "Bridget the Midget" for standing up for her staff. The governors' meeting was a witch hunt. Some people had such old-fashioned attitudes even back in 1986! I know what happens to Ant Jones in the end but I won't spoil it for those that don't know.
This was one hell of an episode and one of the best series of GH.

great episode, good writing.
That board of governors: I thought dinosaurs were extinct.
Brilliant! I'm just so chuffed to bits that Ant told Mr Bronson about himself! What a son-of-a-bitch Mr Bronson is!
1986was one year I was not keen on
its interesting that McClusky was Head of Grange hill at the exactly the same time that Thatcher was in power, and almost had the same tenure.
Cathy Hargreaves impersonated Mrs. T in Serues 5
The late Gwyneth Powell who played Mrs McClusky said that herself.
I fancied ziggurat grieves then, I fancy him now
Mrs Mccluskey would have secured Brexit if she was PM.
